KFA2 550 Ti White Edition Driver Installation failures

Featured Replies

hi

in fact i got the same problems like this guy:

http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=210202

short description:

im not able to install any other driver than the one, which came with the graphics card.(266.71)

disp_inf of the new drivers eg. 285.62 contains the same device id like in 266.71, so this doesnt seem to be the issue.

how to solve this problem?

here a screeny of gpuz:

kfa2gtx550tiwhiteeditio.gif

and attached the nv_dip.ini of the only working driver if you want to take a look. (just rename from *.txt to *.ini)

thanks for your help

what if you force GTX550 detection while installing the non-standard driver ?

what if you flash the card with other BIOS ?

Could you explain "force detection"?

with the latest whql I'm able to install, no forcing necessary, but in the end of the installation it's just like I've never installed any driver.

which bios would you recommend as this card isn't reference layout (don't know, if this does matter.

thanks :)
