Christian Ney Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 How you can have EDO DRAM on the P2B which is with SDRAM ? Quote
Crew Turrican Posted November 20, 2011 Crew Posted November 20, 2011 the 440bx chipset supports both (edo+sdram) and there are edo rams which fit sdram-slots. Quote

Did not know that some EDO were with sdram slot, interesting, how to know ? I mean what is the visual difference to see that ? is it just a SDRam PCB with huge EDo chips on it ? Crew Turrican Posted November 20, 2011 Crew Posted November 20, 2011 i didn't know it before, found the mems on the scrapyard. it also says 60ns on the sticker of the mems. seems to be the last of the edos (1999) where the chips were soldered on sdram-"pcbs". but of course they are slower than same cloked sdrams. still need to do some tests tough. they are also recognized as edos on my socket7 systems.
