knopflerbruce Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 I know this must be some type of debate, but why don't we have seperate classes organized by CPU? Globals will still be globals.. but graphics by card and cpu.. ????? Because then there would be like 1-2 entries for each ranking:p Quote

And we wouldn't run into just 980X holding all of the records. Just wait til the sr2 comes out. Its going kill most of the 3d benchmarks.. and no one without will get any boints... just a thought. Massman Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 Its going kill most of the 3d benchmarks.. It's only good for multi-threaded benchmarks: 06 and V. There are more benchmarks where it doesn't kill, though. and no one without will get any boints... just a thought. I think the points algorithm is balanced enough not to require being in the top-3 to get some points. Quote

You probably need a 980 to be able to get the top spots, but there are so many that receive globals atm, that you'll get plenty even if you're not running the $1000 parts. 980x will hold quite a few records, because it's the fastest chip around. That's not so strange. PS: there are hardware boints to fight for as well, you know... PPS: E8600 still rocks 01 and 03... Quote
steponz Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 I know... I just think there is alot more potential possible.. Hardware points really don't go that far. Honestly I think that should be raised.. If you really have that much hardware points, you should be getting alot more final points... Really what would be so bad about having a 4x cpu vantage category compared to a 6x cpu vantage category?
