SamSaveMax, may I ask why in your last submission, on the verification image, the wPrime shows an Intel Pentium III Xeon processor? The CPU-Z shows it as a 3770k, which is an Ivy Bridge... but the Xeon isn't... - I thought that we should use only Ivy Bridge in this competition...

Good job, SamSaveMax! I may give an another try... but as I said, I feel that I'm really close to the limits...

I'm planning to sweat some nice GTX480s and I have to tear down my system for installing a second water loop... I had to order some fittings for it... - I guess, I can still try until they arrive... :)

Sorry for missing the last moments of this challenge! Thank you all for this opportunity! Without newlife starting this and SamSaveMax beating my score all the time, I would not spent the time to learn so much... Yes, I was using the Windows 7 - at the beginning with a lot of applications running in background... Then I realized that disconnecting the from the network and stopping the AV makes a difference. Then I just went and stopped all the services... - those were done with the Dominator GTs. I rebuilt my system for testing some graphics card and swapped back the TridentX memories... and just applied what I learned with the Dominator GTs... in this case it was about the memory settings as the CPU speed was locked - so just played around with timings...

That's one Windows 7 that you've got there.

I've never seen anyone that uses Windows 7 and actually beaten Windows XP when it comes down to wPrime competiton.

In the end, it's not the ram that played an important role as much as the CPU'S speed and which Operatiing System was used.

I have the exact same TridentX that you have used...but no luck.

Here is a list of rams with much lower CL and various rams speeds that I've tried and still could not be able to knockoff your score.

Lastly on the last attached picture, even with CPU closest to target 4318MHz couldn't do it either.

Well, I guess, after a certain point there is about luck too... Maybe, in my case, beginners luck? I'm sure that you would get even better results with this kit of RAM! I don't know if the advertised speed would make a difference, but my kit is rated at 2600MHz... used only at 1600 with much tighter timings... (went down to 7-7-7-21, but the score was not as great as with this 7-8-8-22) And I also played with the secondary and tertiary timings too. Regarding the OS, as I said, all services were stopped when running wPrime. I'm setting up a benching system with the XP soon, so I will see how that goes...
