December 5, 201312 yr Yes Mr. Moose there are a lot of duds 290x out there with very low ASIC quality like my first one was 71.2 ASIC and was very bad clocker core , is all in the ASIC quality , this one is 78.9 ASIC , good core , bad Ram Elpida , will mod the ram before going LN2 to see if it helps clocks a little better.i Still have a better one with ASIC quality 79.3 and Hynix ram , im saving it strictly for LN2 low volts high overclocks runs very cool. December 5, 201312 yr Hi my friend Flanker3R , As far as I know yes 290 cards are also a gamble and a mix of Hynix and Elpidas , its a matter of luck to find the good ones with Hynix memory and high ASIC quality.
