When do you need an futuremark orb link

I need some clarification on when an orb link is required. The general rules say it is required for hall of fame (HOF) top 20. The specific 3dmark/vantage rules state it is needed for top 20.

 

Is orb validation needed for each Top 20 hardware category, or just HOF entries? If just HOF, that doesn't seem right....

 

Can someone confirm?

if you run now a 8800GT you won't need any ORB link for sure - as you won't need it as well for a GTX480 in 2 years

E.G..... PCMark with 1 core CPUs? etc

Per hwbot rules you only need an ORB URL in the top 20 of each benchmark. But it's also not a bad idea to have one for every result, you can never go wrong with both a screen shot and ORB URL.
