  1. Warp9 does indeed support consistency. Every team in the league has had subs removed for something stupid. It happens.

I am all in for taking care of this without involving the staff here. If anybody has a problem with any W9 subs anywhere, feel free to message me and I will take care of it.

The mod staff has a huge thankless job here and if I can alleviate some of that for them I will.

  2. I'm fairly certain that the issue is caused by the hwinfo64.dll since I stuck a debugger on it and it seemed to suggest that was where it was getting hung up but of course I don't have the source code or all the symbols but I'm curious to why some people who had the same problem end up getting a working version by copying the program directory from another machine... ? Or maybe I read them wrong...

  3. this sucks guys - I'm getting the exact same problem with steam version and website version (purchased versions) on both of my benchmark machines that run Windows 10. One is a brand new installation so obviously there is something wrong. There are also a few forum posts on their website that go unanswered dealing with the same issue. It makes no sense that it's a driver issue when everything else works but Catzilla has an issue confirmed by many others...

  4. Wait, so $300 for both sets? Will you ship to USA?

The first screenshot says 4GB DIMMs but are the second pair 4GB or 8GB? I assume 4GB but just in case.

PS: Also willing to trade for me becoming your PR manager. ;-)

  5. If I set my BIOS to 50 x 100 and XTU reports "5.01" ghz can someone kindly advise me on how to avoid that in the future? Shouldn't that be counted as a simple flux considering CPU-Z shows 5000?

This was the entry that was removed:

Not fighting it but would like to know if I really would need to lower my multiplier and than play with BCLK for next time?

  6. I don't know what is so hard to believe about a core i5 sitting on an open bench in a small air conditioned room where it says at this exact moment it is 19 degrees Celsius? I'm running a good EK water block and a high performance pump with a liquid metal delid job. To be honest I now realize how bad of a job I've done on my one i7 Skylake and my other i7 Kaby and can't wait to delid them using proper sealant like I did this one.

You really are in the extreme league? Don't be such a pussy and pump some volts into your CPU. I'm competing in the Gigabyte Beat the Heat series and I've got an i5 vs the majority i7s. I'm using throw away equipment so might as well go for it.

Now, stop hitting me with your purse because if 1.65v made you wet your pants you're lucky this board limits me to 1.8 or you might have bunnyextraction running down your legs.

You had a great score with your i5 the other day. Don't get all butt hurt that your All-In-One cooler (according to the picture you posted with your entry) didn't give you the edge you were looking for. Maybe the extreme league is turning you into a marshmallow and you could use some conditioning down here in the wastelands of the Enthusiast league.

  7. I don't know what to say. I mean, obviously I posted in response to what I read initially but you are right - it's nowhere to be found. Maybe they changed it to allow more people to compete but I know for sure it was there.

Well, now I really must eat my words because this is the opposite of arbitrary and now I can even compete rather than complain. I'd like to hear from a mod just in case it was removed by mistake but as it stands it doesn't appear to be a requirement.

  8. Thank you for sharing those points - as I said - it wasn't clear to me. Point B is makes a lot of sense.

I'm not sure it's fair to say other vendors have done nothing since I know there are a lot of grateful winners that just came out of a couple of Asus sponsored comps. But I get it - you took issue with my "ostracizing" comment and you're probably right - it wasn't needed.

  9. I just can't believe Gigabyte would limit the competition to Z270 motherboards. I own two Gigabyte boards - both Z170. I'm trying to understand what the mentality here was but it escapes me. Of course, if there is one thing that Gigabyte is good at doing it's ostracizing their customers.

So what lesson did I learn? Always read all the rules and never take things for granted before you purchase another CPU from Newegg just to enter a competition you can't actually enter LOL. My bad.
