What does the 8700k do ambient?

The only time I've ever booted this chip on ambient was for doing mount checks before pulling down on ln2 :)

If missing ambient results is a deal breaker for anyone seriously interested, please pm me. I am happy to pop into a mobo and test it for you.

Is Systeminfo Monitoring required to have enabled while running 3DM Firestrike? Cannot get past systeminfo scanner stopped working error in every OS if monitoring in 3DM is enabled.

Did you try using older version of system info? I have ran into issues with the newest versions not always cooperating with legacy gpus.

Its not about being sure to win at all, i am pretty sure i would not stand a chance even with a temperature limit. there is some people who know perfectly there craft here,  and i am not one of them ? Its just that with this name i was expecting a Competition made around the idea of accessibility. (And its the first time i had adequat hardware to do more than just participate to one of them). In the end its my fault for not knowing what Cheapaz was about  ;)That being said it would be great to also have some competitions enticing for the whole HWBot community.

Anyway, i have posted some score for everything. But there is still an issue i had already pointed out : I cant launch Firestrike with both the latest systeminfo and hardware monitoring activated. So i have posted a firestrike graphic score with Hardware Monitoring desactivated but i dont know what is the regulation here.

[edit:]Oh, and while I'm at it. Would it be possible to ad my APU motherboard to the database ? (Gigabyte B450M S2H) it seem i am the only one using this thing here (work great!)

Look at the challenger divisions. Those are hardware/temperature/frequency limited depending on the division. Everyone can find one to be competitive in :)

Huge THANKS to Thermal Grizzly for putting up prize money!!

We have the poll right to pick the GPU, currently in the lead is HD 5770, but there is a very similar Juniper based card the HD 6770.

    My question is:

    Round 1 with HD 5770 only or HD 5770 + HD 6770

    Round 2 with GTS 450 or 550Ti

    Round 3 with GTX 950

Are you concerned that having 3 rounds this year will limit options for the future of cheapazz comps? I thought there were some concerns about not enough cheap and widely available vga models to keep the comp going long term without needing to revisit previous hardware.

  6. First off, this is amazing news! I'm really excited to see what happens with active owners/management.

I hope some serious time is spent bugfixing before any sweeping changes are made :)

In regards to leagues my opinion remains the same as all the previous times this has been discussed. Three leagues: Elite (ES/sponsored), Everyone else (all cooling types), Rookie (3-6mo time limit).
