  1. Not sure if this has been asked before or not, but I think a lot of times when server hw is benched its in a vm on a server. Is it allowed to bench in a vm if windows is still used? Not sure how easy it would be to tell but I bet if you go through results on bigger server hw at least some of it is done on a vm

  2. I think many stay in enthusiast because they don't have access to more cooling, not interested, etc. But some stay in because they enjoy being a big fish in small pond so to speak, some stay in enthusiast because they can rank high there but wouldn't be able to in other leagues. I'd like to see those people have a push to try extreme cooling. The people who are interested but are too scared of losing their top 10 league position

Is Ryzen PRO allowed? My laptop happens to have a Ryzen PRO APU in it, I've already subbed it for the Sky Diver stage:

But would be good to know if this is considered workstation hardware. I'd think not but better to clear up the ambiguity early on as I'm sure I won't be the only one thinking of subbing Ryzen PRO.

Good question, my ebay purchases were just me assuming it'd be allowed, fuck trying to get the non pro version of 4000 series...

  4. Reminder that crosshair 8 dark hero launched after the comp, want to make sure nobody subs and has to rebench on different board. Posting here and on Discord to make sure everyone sees it, don't think it will be a problem but will suck if someone does a sick 3000 series sub on the new board for country cup and can't use it.

Why not create different tiers and make overclocking the comp, as an example there are those that only have a 570 and can't compete at all with a 2080ti or 3090 so then creating specific tiers like 570, 580 etc.

    My 0.002

That's just normal hwbot, idk but having 500+ stages in country cup is a maybe not the best idea. There are however cheap stages so everyone can participate

That makes it just more interesting and stressfull,  plus the average score counts. Also Instances = processor cores... dare to innovate ?

You can set the number of threads it uses, it'll be set to 1 thread and downcored. I'd rather we run normal pi so we can at least get pts for it. If you want a weird multi instance of pi then at least do system stability tester

Make sure to use latest 1.94 cpuz. A week ago validations with 1.92.2 were fine and since Saturday it requires newer cpuz version.

Ty, that's likely the problem with cpuz, still I suspect something is messed up with the os as the ycruncher submitter can't make a data file if a screenshot is taken or selected. Same file works on other os so perhaps Java is borked but reinstall of Java etc doesn't fix it
