Yes, there is an issue with 7800GS/7800GS+ and Gainward variants of this but I'll handle it later as ATM I don't remember all the flavours of 7800GS and which ones could unlock or not and so on.
My understanding is for unlocking you just check unlocked cores, new categories are for differences out of the box.

Interesting that avx512 is not everything in this bench
-
What part of the core do you mean by pipes? I've seen cards separated by bus width of the memory bus so depending not that insane for new categories.
-
testing it works until I get proper ram setup

the problem is that with 16gb of ram the score is very low
More memory ranks is more faster. Nothing unusual

While looking at es to find more unlocked 26 cores I found this curio is finally moving closer to reasonable prices, there was never an e5 xeon with full unlocked 24 core die, only was e7 cpus on 2011-1 socket (same as 15 core cpu socket). There was however es chips experimenting with it, retail ended up 22 cores max https://www.ebay.com/itm/133384502454

I dont chase points or I would have put more obscure stuff up in categories.
Is the 8170 unlocked? I have seen people buy unlocked 26 core es cpus before. They are apparently picky on bios and board support. And if it's an unlocked 8xxx that would be insane, not that any 8s boards would support oc.
Also to add on, apparently whoever sells these unlocked 26 core cpus from China tends to laser etch the q code off the ihs, making it even harder to tell difference in models.

You see the 26 cores? That makes it not a 3175X. This SKU will get it's own 26-core category pretty like the mobile Coffee-lakes discussed not long ago.
That's what I thought, although not sure what it can be called, especially if q spec can't be found. Might still be easiest to call it 3175x (26 core) even if that's not really what it is just because it instantly makes sense what it is

@yosarianilives, please specify what category are your talking about and what sort of unlocked are we speaking of?
Something like this, seller lists this as 3175x es but it isn't exactly the same thing as it maxes at 26 cores and apparently doesn't even work in all motherboards. Title is like a seller saying high clocked s771 xeons are same as qx9770 to help them sell. Cpu is fully unlocked multi and mem control for oc. I don't have one on hand yet but know people who do. https://www.ebay.com/itm/174552114807
-
So reading this does this mean the unlocked 26 core cpus that are all the rage are just banned? They show a 0000 ID in cpuz and to make things even more vague surrounding them it seems that whoever is selling them on eBay often laser etches the q spec off the ihs so less clear what they are. Basically all that can be seen is what happens when you put them in a board, 26 cores work max and it comes stock 1.8 Ghz but is fully unlocked for oc.

Lol, need to find an ic's for 400fsb.sempron destroyed the L3014. The same instructions because y-cruncher use the avx512.
Ycruncher uses avx-512, Avx2, but also should use sse4. Basically whatever instructions the cpu can throw at it. But also seems that it doesn't rely on sse4 like x265 does as my g470 won't beat sempron.
-
L3014 should roflstomp sempron. It has more IPC, instruction advantage, and as you said better mem performance in this bench. Evidently luumi is busy with something else rn tho so semprons may reign for a bit. Now for 10b because of capacity supported semprons should be unbeatable, anyone wanna pour for 8 hours? Maybe run ss or cascade. My Oc'd g470 with a big raid just barely beat a sempron score, both 32gb of ram. Technically can run 64gb on sempron but oc is impossible, the fact it posts is a miracle the imc is crying in pain.
-
Back in the US, now just need everyone else to compete so it's worth pts

4 stick sucks for imc. All my mboard istant freeze when apply 360-370 (C5F, 890FXA UD5, 890FXA UD7, SABER)
I believe that, I know it's really tough on imc, especially pre thuban. I only ran this on aio but thuban does seem to handle it a bit better so maybe possible to run good ram for 5 core.

Cpu limited. On air close at 393fsb butto the bus lost on cold. This chip 436fsb capable with 2x2gb bbse
Did you try 4x2gb bbse? That's how I always ran the bench, except hypers as that's what I have

Finally, ln2 scores! I need to have a shot at this one properly

What's the pot to die delta when running avx512? Lmao

Yes, delid CPU with grizzly LM on die and KPx on lapped IHS. It was still 90c+ with this soft voltage and clocks. For comparison the full run of Cine R20 with the same config only hit 63c...
Avx512 is insanely hot, basically turns cpu into gpu

People will need to get sabrent sponsorship now or Intel sponsor optane drives, etc lmao

Glad to see this bench getting destroyed once again

Thought amd scored better in pcm? :P

Crazy ssd raid or just testing the cpu side of the bench?
