  1. Im not a programmer but, is it possible to detect the highest multi available of the current CPU? Because most results with a modern Intel CPU shows right now no frequency. And users usual dont edit their result afterwards to include it.

Or actual frequency is detected during the benchmark process.

  2. But this shows that there is an error in the name scheming. Instead of 4050+ it should be 4050e. And default clock is 2100Mhz instead of 2500Mhz.

    4450+ should be 4450e

  3. Similar Sorting Bug like Tasos experienced:

only first 5 results appear There is no way to show places 6-20 in the ranking. But clicking button for places 21-30 let them appear. So it seems Hwbot has problems with the Top20.

But its not always the same, selecting P4P800 Deluxe show up to place 12

Also I experience some problems with german translation. Showing some letters that shouldnt be there for sure...(see attachment)

  4. Is this now official 12th of May 2016 or what?

Its as always some special mystery involved. First, you can see in OC esports schedule for about half year that it starts 14th April than it really starts on that date but there is just one stage visible and now it got postponed till next year. :P

It would just be useful to know if there are any plans to start it in the next two months as organizing a team meeting is getting even harder without knowing exact dates.

  5. The QUESTION:

So what about socket 478 for 1st stage allow or not ??? And what about frequency - 2801 for both 3DMark03 and SuperPI 1M?

I think the idea was to have something like a s939 vs s478 competition. But as s478 cpus have no chance @2800Mhz against a s939 CPU, s478 got removed.

I guess there is no frequency cap in stage 1 but your're right by now Massman or Antinomy have to correct introduction text to avoid confusion.

If I remember it right last year, limitations from all stages were visible before cup started. So we actually made progress here. ;)

But the good thing is that we can discuss about certain before something starts.

Maybe someone should poke CPU-Z Author to add uncore and nb frequency in valis? Also HM87 boards dont get recognized... There is just "Haswell" instead of HM87 in motherboard section.

  7. The current lineup doesnt look much interesting. I dont like to buy a 2000€ Gaming Notebook to have a chance winning that HM87 stage. And it would be cool if Massman would also allow Socket 771 CPUs. Its just, I dont see why we should spend more money than necessary.

Lets see if the VGA stage is a little more interesting.

AFAIK, CPU-Z valis dont include Uncore or Northbridge. So verification needs to be done by screenshot I guess...

  8. Strunkenbold, I usually clean them one category by one. Starting from old school and moving to the more recent ones. Better small fixes per week than giant fixes per ..never :D

Didnt know that your are already clean up db by yourself...

So your next task is probably cleaning Socket 3 section for oldschool competition? :D

Oh and thank you Mr. Paco.

  9. Right, it is more correct to report those bugs. Will see how it can be done. But I just see so many bugs, I dont where to start and when I should have time for this. :D

  10. The more I dig into this the more I understand that there is a big difference between what CPU-Z is detecting and all other Internet databases. If I could I would fix this in CPU-Z but Im not sure if this is even technical possible.

Im totally with you having our db correct like CPU World or Intel site would make everything a lot easier and more correct.

So now just 4 fun a common issue in our db:

User submits a result with some old CPU,

CPU-Z tells him: Pentium M with 1Ghz and socket 479

When he try to submit using the autocompletion he gets nothing because there is no Pentium M 1000Mhz or Pentium M 1,0Ghz. So he ends up searching the right one in the db and when he is lucky enough he might select Pentium M ULV 1,0Ghz as the correct one. This might be successful but is this really necessary? What do we gain by this?

Detection of CPU-Z is really that bad as I dont even detects a Pentium M 723 like here. So it gets in the wrong category.

So maybe we could do every user a favor and make our name styling a little more CPU-Z friendly even if its not 100% correct.

So in this both cases I would propose:

    Pentium M 1,0Ghz ULV (Banias)

    Pentium M 1,0Ghz ULV (723)

    just my 2c

  11. Can I use my 5960X CPU which disabled 2 core to join the XTU 6 Core Gigabyte's competition ?

    Not possible.

I don't understand about the target score, the website shows up my 2211 score without 1 points, but it does not show 2207 score or 2214 score when I submit ?

Your score with 2211 points is currently your closest result to the target, or it is even already the target score.
