  1. I just read the summary thread. It was great. o wait... Might as well say you're not going to do it...
  2. The biggest problem with ECS is that they have the low end name... Everyone associates them with the low end. If they want to break back into the mainstream market, they're going to have to do it with a very aggressively priced board that is feature packed. This board has to be cheap enough and visually appealing enough to make people choose this over the household brands, i.e. Gigabyte, Asus, MSI, etc. They have definitely have some boards that look appealing (the black series), but they have been priced similarly to their competitors (and sometimes even more expensive). They're not going to get customers that way... I've never used an ECS board so I can't actually comment on the BIOS or software or anything like that. But why would I--there are plenty of brands that I use daily that are in the exact same market. I'll stick with those until ECS gives me a really good reason. This is meant to be constructive, btw. I'm not trying to slam on the company--just being honest.
  3. If they actually have to update the benchmark, it won't help. No one uses the latest version anyway since it gives lower scores than v101. If it's just an update to their validation system, then go for it!
  4. Look into learning to set Affinity on Pifast. You should definitely be able to run this at the same frequency as your 32M run (usually 100-200MHz higher). The fact that it's running at a much lower frequency indicated it ran on a weaker core! (or you ran this before tweaking and reaching the higher frequencies)
  5. It wasn't on XS, it was on OCN. Systemviper has been ignoring all contact by either of them and has basically been unreachable until now. This is the first activity any of us have seen out of him in a while.
  6. Shouldn't you focus on paying back my teammates rather than benching? You still owe Crantana and Dhenzjhen hundreds of dollars from MONTHS ago...
  7. OCN N2OC - October 13, 2012 Detroit, MI The event is sponsored by Gigabyte and G.Skill so we'll have some UP7's and some memory kits to play around with. We're still working on sourcing chips for the event. There will only be four of us benching there, though: Attendees xxbassplayerxx Hobiecat Rasparthe reggiesanchez http://www.overclock.net/t/1312965/event-radeon-extravalanza-october-20th-2012-5-000-in-prizing/ UK LN2 Meet - November 9-10, 2012 Buxton, UK The event will be held on the 9th and 10th of November at the Railway Hotel in Buxton. 8. Wow... I thought the Physics portion of the benchmark had a pretty large effect. Guess not!
  9. I thought these chips were hitting 7GHz+ on LN2. Is it because you were using the IGP that it didn't go any higher?
  10. Meh, memory doesn't matter much for WPrime... But DAMN that's a low CB! Well done!
  11. Tell him to give us a price break too! $12.50 for 3.5g is highway robbery!
  12. They apparently have a 30g package but I've never seen it for sale.
  13. How do you guys store your GPUs once you've acquired a bit of a collection? I used to use a drawer but I've got a few too many for that now and was hoping to get some ideas.
  14. Shit... it was hard for me to justify the price for two!
