  1. //edit: not my place

Glad I saw this thread. Was planning on ordering from his US facing store for an EasyXL table within next month. I see his/stores FB account is still regularly posting photos.

  2. Have you tweaked the VCCIN to see if it helps?

    Somehow just noticed this post.

Only "tweaking" I did to VCCIN was set it to 1.8v but after the last couple days poking around, see that I should set it around 2.4v(?) according to Sins Gigabyte Z97 tweaking guide.

Or am I confusing VRIN with VCCIN?

    5200/4700/2666 runs, too.

Decent looking chip with that NB frequency and voltage

  3. I've been around for a while, back when phase and cascade was a big thing. Never remember anyone from Canada building. There's still a couple floating in the States, RunMC and n00b of l33t but think even they are limited on time.

Good luck on your search though!

  4. Dishwasher all the way!

I've used the dishwasher method, and it's perfect for removing Vaseline from the tight spots like that. Just remember to remove the CMOS battery to avoid any problems.

A socket protector is all I used, and the board functions just fine. :)

    Thanks for the reply guys!

Assume using a "delicate" cycle if possible? Any ideas on removing the copper sink that is attached by epoxy/super glue?

  5. I have a board that I would like to remove previous vaseline in the socket area that is difficult to totally remove between the mosfets. Majority of it I removed with Acetone and a toothbrush but would like to remove completely.

Seems the best method I have came across is the dishwasher on very light load but worried about protecting the socket. You that have done it successfully is it enough to just use socket cover? Or something like stuffing with like Armaflex?

Also on the board is a cheap looking aftermarket piece of copper expoyed or super glued to the NB for cooling. Any suggestions on to remove without damage?

  7. Yeah i was curious if you would do mount kits, as well. I could use an extra for use on my kpe or with phase.

    Seconded.

Have an older SS that I would like to put a new mount on to be compatible with all CPU sockets and possible VGA layouts.

  8. Anyone else having issues submitting for Stage 2? Every time I submit says it is incomplete but does not tell me what is missing even with filling out literally EVERY field.

EDIT: Been trying for the hour with nothing. This is extremely frustrating. I understand if I'm missing something but to not be able to reveal what is needed or missing, is absurd for a competition hosted by such a large manufacture.

I'd like to apologize as I figured out what the issue was and was ultimately my fault. During the heat of the moment of trying to submit a somewhat time sensitive competition entry, I overlooked where I was being told what was missing. :o

I have problem with Stage 2 submission. Incomplete submission...

If you carefully look at the above submission text, it says you need to put in load temp. Thing is the text is same format, color and font of the rest of the already established rules. So combine this with normal HWBot engine not providing an exact location of missing information, it is very easy to overlook.

So please, with Stage 2 in this particular competition, make sure to enter your load temps. :celebration:

  10. Looking for someone, preferably stateside (US), who is experienced and skilled with vmods. Basically would like to send off all my desired hardware to be modded along with all materials. Compensation would just be for time.

Clearly user would need to have a very good reputation and possible examples of skills would be nice also.

    PM with any ideas.

  11. After finding my DFI Ultra-D, looking to continue to build my legacy platforms so Asus P4P800 SE is next on the list. I have one currently but having a lot of issues booting so looking for a replacement.

Ideally not looking to spend more then $35 USD shipped to USA but open to discussion.

    :celebration:

EDIT: Also looking for P4C800 motherboards.
