So you weren't happy enough with already having #1 on Intel?

Wow, you made our score look inefficient as fuck. Guess some beer must be ordered.

Here's another puzzle.
Was benching E8500 with RE on cold. Got a shutdown with no load, board did not react to anything anymore. Dried it up, turned it on next day - CPU Fujitsu exploded. Removed the Fujitsu and now board does this:
without CPU: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPjkpKS5dUU
with CPU: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQFnkCpdekc
In both cases it powers on itself as soon as it gets power from PSU. The LED shows PLL voltage.CPU, PLL, VTT, NB and SB resistances are within 10% of working boards.
Any ideas what it could be?

This is normal, although relatively rare.

Hopefully, Stavros will go easier on the E8500 once he revisits it :P

Many thanks to Paulaner!

Sub 7 minutes would need 6700-6710MHz.
I definitely have multiple capable CPUs, but my best board stops at 655-660 5:8 even though its IMC can do 1080+ 6-7-5 32M with Hypers running same timings easily.
Given how hard it is to find an X48 these days, let alone a decent one, this might never happen ... unless I somehow find a magical recycler that sits on a thousand boards- 3

This will be hard to beat. Top score!

Why should it be fake? These were pretty common specs. G.Skill PI went up to 9600C5 specs on DDR2, too.

Hwbot no1 and no2 battling it out at 8800 GTS 320? Which year is this?

CPU-Z 1.77, when's this score from, 1999? Jokes, well done sir
It's the latest version of CPU-Z that works properly on older platforms (775, 1156, 1366). If you use a newer one and raise FSB on OS, it will assume that your CPU clocks did't increase and drop the multi readout to match. Very annoying.

Back in the early 1366 days (Q4 2008) people used to bench D9GTR on this platform. Samsung 1Gbit D (then called HCF0) was seen as an inferior option. Then (in Q2 2009) Hypers came along and the game changed.
Out of D9GTR, I would say that Corsair 1800C7 Dominators were seen as the best. Sure, CSX Diablo were Hyped, but the binning was not centralised, meaning that their local resellers could assign specs to kits that were nowhere near passing.

[FS] everything I own
in Sold
Posted · Edited by TaPaKaH
I decided that I do not want to do this hobby anymore, so I am selling all hardware I accumulated since starting in early 2000s.
I will not entertain any offers on individual items.
Money is not my primary goal when making this sale. I want to see everything gone down to the very last tube of thermal paste and the only way I can achieve this is selling everything in one go. Besides, I do not want to leave any loose ends and/or having to deal with multiple transactions at once.
If you don't wish and/or can't afford all the contents of this thread, you might as well go away.
Here is a mandatory picture that should include nearly all of the items:

In the coming days I will go through my file storage and add screenshot hyperlinks for each result listed below.

A bunch of unbinned G0 chips, all L7xx batch.
A few pieces into binning, one of my REs died, so I could never complete.
Given the yield above (5/116 on unrestricted batches) I would expect 3-4 more good chips to come out of these.

Shit CPU that fails 5G on air, yet its IMC easily does 32M at 1500+ 6-10-6 with PSC. Part of my DDR3 binning platform.

Additional interesting CPUs on the way that will be included in the lot upon arrival:
Boards:
Flashed with P5E3-Premium BIOS.
IMC does 1030 at 1.59V, FSB barely does 600 2:3.
Poor condition - loadline calibration doesn't work, missing original heatsink, using Thermalright HR05 instead.
IMC does 1050 at 1.75V, FSB goes above 700 suicide with chilled NB.
With box and accessories.
IMC does 1050 at 1.56V, FSB not properly tested
Dead - stuck at POST code 0E. With box and accessories.
While alive, IMC did 1050 at 1.53V, FSB not properly tested.
Dead - turns on itself, also has a short somewhere in CPU PWM. For parts and repair
While alive, did 1080 IMC at 1.70V, FSB did at least 655 5:8 32M.
Bought as working but 00 on arrival. In good physical condition.
My main Wolfdale FSB and DDR2 binning board. Does 635 FSB 32M with NB and CPU on air.
Poor condition - only works in single channel with some CPUs, non-original heatsink, no accessories. Good enough for DDR1 and 939 CPU binning.
My DDR3 binning board. ES with generic heatsink and slightly different PCB layout. Vaselined, but at least it can handle PSC full pot.
My 1366 and Hypers' binning board. Currently works fine but had a few incidents in the past that required its cleaning.
Mems:
1. Does 32M at 1100 @ 7-7-6 @ 1.74V
2. Does 32M at 1100 @ 7-7-6 @ 1.75V
3. Does 32M at 1100 @ 7-7-6 @ 1.71V
4. Does 32M at 1100 @ 7-8-7 @ 1.71V
5. Does 32M at 1100 @ 7-8-7 @ 1.71V
1+2 pair is a tank - used it for all my 775 binning and benching in the last 10 years and it's still going strong
Other:
Two unused. One tested working.
Not sure if it ever seen even 50% load. But it's super reliable for 775 and 1366 unlike the newer model.
Special edition. Claimed not to have any OCP / OVP. With box and full accessories.
Lapped base. In original box. Comes with 775 and 1366 mount brackets, plus universal gravity mount.
Poor visual condition - missing its original case, insulation and original mounting kit a bit battered. But cooling-wise still fine.
Has original cap (for unpressurised use) as well as a pressure valve.
Price: 4000€ OBO
