if it is required when the cpu is at fullpot with ln2 around -180C then i suppose its not a question to use it with aircooling in a pc case, there will be definately not cooler. btw I dont remember any situation when it was recommended to use any board without vrm heatsink when overclocking on air/water. if you dont need to insulate board to handle extreme conditions like condensation, i would never consider removing.

Im also with George on this. This is one of the most fav benchmark of the old guys and in general a lot of xocer. It has one reason: tweaking. In the past we were facing with some magical boosts like mipmap tweak, d3d overrider for nature. after reveal of these to the community we decided which one is legit and which one claims as a cheat. To be fair and respectful manner I would recommend to do reveal this tweak as well in order to categorize it. However I can understand it must be hard to share something you spent a lot of time to figure out. Also please consider there is no point to rule a benchmark without competitive company =D Long live the 01SE.

Thanks for the replys guys, i got a regular 3200 gold recently, not the best kit i ever had but nowdays i think i need to be familiar with that 250 cl2 max out. Even mushkins are out of the era, i was able to find only 1gb modules, which are crappy for oc. Now lets hut for something else... see title, looking for a good 7700k now.
