  1. To avoid that :

    There is now this :

The Streacom BC1 Open Benchtable was designed to sit horizontally on a table but increasingly there are a number of people that are using it in the vertical orientation for videos and photography as its easier to view the hardware installed. Whilst the BC1 can stand vertically, it was not specifically designed for this and if knocked forward, could tip over damaging both the BC1 and hardware installed. Additionally, resting the BC1 on its side might over time damage the edge or the table its resting on.

As the BC1 is designed to be an Open project and moddable though 3D printable add-ons, the obvious solution was to design some add-on feet which would solve this problem. The vertical feet designed has achieved the following…

Stop the BC1 from being able to tilt forward. The left side foot of the BC1 already provides support to prevent back tilt.

Raise the side of the BC1 away from the table to prevent any damage to the BC1 or the table surface.

Does not require any additional screws to secure to the table and is held in place with the existing thumbscrews which secure the feet.

Give the table a slight additional back tilt again helping avoid any chance of falling forward

  2. While looking through the file name of the linux driver listing vega10 cards i stumbled upon theses :

    create mode 100644 drivers/gpu/drm/amd/powerplay/hwmgr/ppatomfwctrl.h

Theses are the hardware manager part for the driver system...

Not sure how extensive the voltage and hardware control will be.

Source of the news phoronix then their source on amd foeum for the list

  3. Week between may20/26 would be ideal for me!

Wulai, Yangmingshan, Yilan all look good for hiking, and I'm keen on Taroko Gorge but not sure if its worth the effort of getting down to.

quitegood but long trip and if there is heavy rain or strom it is closed...

  4. A clarification of each of the competition would be nice :)

    - HWT 17 Computex is the GSkill Comp ?

    - OCWC 17 final is the GSKILL COMP ?

    - OCWC 17 matches are the weekend before computex ?

    - OCWC 17 final is the weekend before and the winner get an entry into the Gskill Comp ?

    - OCWC 17 final is the weekend before and the winner of OCWC 17 access the final at Gskill Comp ?

    Thanks :)

  5. Thanks Marc

Keen to catch up with OC guys.

Anyone keen on Hiking or Kavalan whisky distillery tour let me know.

    Can international guests register yet?

Hiking trip in the plan :) let`s try to make it happen to get some fresh air before the beer-o-week.

I will be there - not sure the exact timing (either may20 to June 5th OR may 26 to Jun 13th)

  6. Hey guys,

Earlier today Jacob Freeman (@EVGA_JacobF) from eVGA posted a pics on Twitter teasing about a Z270 motherboard with LEDs. Keith (@KeithPlaysPC) was quick to notice it was moutned on an Open Benchtable !

I didn't new they ordered one :), this cool to see that user and industry-people love the OBT. (and they do !)

    Source : EVGA_JacobF on Twitter

Note : The OBT project is not affiliated with any brands outside of the project founders : Streacom, HWBOT, OCTV :)
