  1. Why you don't play with other 2d benkmark ?

This E2140 is strong, and wierd as well. If, if, if it crashed during 2d bench, then system power off, it won't work againt, even 500X8 still power off, no matter what I want to do. Then I have to stop, remove pot, wait tomorrow...

I don't know what I could blame, CPU? Mobo? Temperature?

The most important thing is, I am a disappointing benchmarker, hahaha xD

  2. I'm Just thinking: Who win between a Celeron 925 and Xeon L3014 at the same Frequency ??

    Seems that Celeron is better.

A lot of mod here... more than my rig. I haven't performed vmem mod.

I think the limit is still the Chipset.. or not ?

I see 1.550 Volt Voltage, what is this? the CPU voltage ?

In fact I did Socket BSEL mod too, FSB 800 to 1066.

Vccp mod is the key to get high FSB, Vcca mod and Vmem mod seems not so helpful, my Samsung Memory don't like high Voltage.

FSB limited more probably by CPU, I think. I have other CM 925, one can do FSB 383MHz Max on air and 405Mhz by LN2; one only do 336MHz on air. This nice chip can do FSB 392 Max on air :D

  3. DELL Latitude D630 is PM965 too, can boot at FSB 1066 by mobo PLL pinmod. You also can see this page:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/hardware-components-aftermarket-upgrades/393027-pll-pinmod-overclocking-methods-examples.html

For Mobile Celeron 900 (925) chip, firstly can do Socket BSEL pinmod by copper wire, that is a safe way.

If it not worked, then have to do mobo PLL pinmod, a harder and more dangerous way.

Meantime watch your Memory clock, may lead to crash if too high.

  4. Strange... My P4 631 can work with P5E3 Prem X48, Asus Commando P965, Asus P5K P35 and Formula X48. Try other bios/clean pin side of processor using alcohol/if you have done any vid mods, remove it. I can't say anything more :)

I tried many times, with no mod, but still failed to boot this P4 641 on ASUS X48/X38... but my any other P4 641 worked fine. I really have no idea what the hell with this Malay P4 641...

  5. How selected chip?

    1. Batch number is just for reference only, not all thing. I have posted all the batch number for my Celeron D submissions

    2. Generally speaking, D0 stepping will be better.

    3. Ambient temperature about 25 C, use U120E cooler, a good Celeron D can post at least 4.60GHz @ 1.25V on air, get into WinXP at 5.0GHz @ 1.40V on air. If you look for golden chip, add more 200MHz on previous Freq requirements.

Besides, a good mobo is necessary. CPU power supply, BIOS Vcore top limit, all important. ASUS X48 recommended.
