  1. nice prizes! and cash is a welcome change of course. its always funny seeing the usual comps with hardware prizes being given out, that most people would be using in the actual comp already...
  2. after posting, i realised that. ah well. well, itd just be in for the lucky draw like the rest of us anyway, given the score Andre posted
  3. not entering it in the XTU comp? ES were allowed in that.....
  4. i think that XTU only picks up the bios booted settings (?) so if you've changed them in windows it doesnt detect. though there does seem to be some tweaks (and seemingly outright hacks - guy was banned recently for 4.4ghz i5 3570k scoring nearly 2k points) out there but at this stage no ones sharing
  5. impressive for ITX... hopefully a nice improvement over the p8z77-i (mine was rubbish and now doesnt even allow multi adjustments wtf)
  6. well thats a shame, would be nice if some good might came from it, especially if you plan on using XTU for more comps (like this months). but when the results are that far out of whack i guess its easy enough to spot
  7. wd truemonkey i was about 5 points off, but you were ~90mhz lower (assuming XTU reading correctly of course). be keen to see what those tweaks of yours were also glad the totally unrealistic 4.4ghz i5 score was taken down - that thing was scoring well into haswell territory.. massman, do you have any indication as to what was going on there?
  8. Appears to me that the key is fooling XTU into thinking you have a slower CPU......
  9. this one was for the OCAU hwbot team/Gigabyte Z77 competition held in March/April 2012. CPU speed for all submits was limited to 4.5ghz
  10. sniperoz says tess off is allowed in this and in heaven, so go for it mate http://forums.overclockers.com.au/showpost.php?p=14193991&postcount=1799
  11. im waiting on a new CPU now, one that has a higher max multi. last nights 2600k is sold/shipped already more OC ability wont help me much with the 5ghz limit of course but my mem/bclk could use some tweaking next time round
  12. now i know how the dualcore guys feel i dont see the option to view results (besides copies)?
  13. awesome chip, then! so jelly, high multi and decent bclk capability
  14. ddr3 2300+, cas8. still slower than last gen intel stuff lol
  15. well, the mobo isnt in the screeny but wd from a 55x chip there
  16. CPUZ apparently doesnt show it there (?), but ram was set to 1T in bios
  17. very nice! youve gone to "proper" watercooling now and changed back to the x58-OC mobo. also looks like you've managed to get the 990x clocking a bit more than last i saw it. i've moved to AMD for timebeing, got bored with the intel setup i had at vLan. only the one submit sofar on the temporary CPU, and just w/ watercooling, check it here http://hwbot.org/submission/2212335_ been too busy with new 2nd baby to really get stuck into it sofar
  18. checking that again, seems 2 cards installed but SLI was not going. will need to look into that. do believe CPU still a limiting factor somewhat, will find out when new 2600k arrives though
  19. thats me.. in it for the lucky draw - oh, and the fun.. i know ill get smashed as the comp draws to a close, lol. i mean, 2500k? not ideal for wprime.. and imagine when i do a 3d11 run next week it will suck too. my 2600k away on RMA i was a tad surprised about the rule change. actually was even more detrimental to me, this MSI board is a terrible overclocker lol, 50x multi only just started working today for some reason, limiting everyone else to that multi too would have been great lol
  20. oops submitted 32m run as 1m.... damn you, pre-populate!
