  1. Yes, I've seen the info on Asus - I just wanted to check another headline manufacturer. The idea on eight cores is unification - for the quad core we had to make a two bit machineID (haven't read the BIOS developers guide for ages so I quote as I remember it). When we go to six cores, we have to change the routine. So if we implement a three-bit, why not make an eight core? Anyway it will come out, so no double job. That's my idea. What can be said - this is obviously nothing to deal with server CPUs - already 12 cores there. Think it's for future desktop, lower tech. process for sure.
  2. Yes, I know that, Massman and what I wanted to say is just that this method can be inaccurate. Sempron does Checked the Gigabyte ga-890gpa-ud3h - has only DDR3-1600 (the advertised 1866+ is via overclocking). Nothing interesting though - it's a board with integrated video. Then the 890XAUD3 - 790X+SB850. This one has DDR3-1600 too. Though it has core managing for six cores (deactivating, can't say whether this option can activate cores). The rest is not interesting.
  3. I don't want to spoil the party, but what you are reading is just the BIOS strings - they are standardized and may be not implemented at all. But what I can say is that the board has the unlocking option for all six cores (and locking, as I think). I can add that the board has Core Performance Boost control - allows to select different modes (4 states) And yep, I can confirm that the DDR3-2000 string is used in the BIOS (can't say whether on all CPUs or only some of them). There's a great bunch of voltages also but I think they are quite common.
  4. Well, how about this one? Or tell me, how can I convert the text in required UTF-8?
  5. Thank you! Now I can switch to the main one I've finished the 3.6 changes - can you check this small file because I'm not sure the text is in the right encoding. Waiting for your feedback. For two lines: userprofile_supported teamedit_team.avatar I'm not sure they should be translated. What are they for?
  6. richba5tard, can you attach the current Russian language text file? I don't think I should redo the job that Neoforce and Donny did and my fixes being added - it's double work in most cases. Only thing I'll have to do is check it and add new revision lines, not translate the whole text.
  7. GAZ-66 is a trusty car. Kamaz, ural and kraz are too. But when we go from trucks to cars, Russian ones suck. That's why in my city it's hard to remember a week you've seen a Russian car (not a truck or heavy vehicle). Well, let's stop offtoping or ask to split threads
  8. http://hwbot.org/rankings/worldrecords - AndreYang is in the PCMark05 ranking twice - didn't update yet or this is a bug?
  9. http://service.futuremark.com/resultComparison.action?compareResultId=2244287&compareResultType=13 Why does the system think there are 16 cores when there are only 12 (obviously, I mean logical too)? On i7 975 your result was fine - 6 core and 12 threads. And here is this weird thing.
  10. Massman, in my city the word u used in the end of your statement is equaled to a curse . Don't use it, please You could just say an old VW.
  11. I didn't know that X48 and P45 have an integrated GPU, can you show us some street magic?
  12. Better solder ot right on i7 980X wafer - you'll get a uber integrated CPU graphics
  13. It's discrete If you have a SATA controller like Marvell on your MoBo - it isn't called integrated, it's anyway discrete. more interesting is what is allowed in the competition. Yeah, I've read the rules page. I mean the "undocumented" ones.
  14. It's the speed connection problem. If you lower the quality, then you won't be able to show anything interesting like those crappy cell phone camera videos - some sort of sounds, shaking of the picture and nothing to be able to recognize I think this will change with time.
  15. Knowing how to use a CPU-Z bug makes full price only if you're going to cheat and half of the price if not. What really is in price - knowledge about how to trace out the fraud result and even more - close a bug. Might be not so easy as I'm figuring now.
  16. Oh, this one looks better! I checked both the wordpad and word, the result was the same as on the screen above. Thank you for your answer Opened in winword - everything's fine now! Am I correct thinking that the new full text pack (64.1Kb) includes the 3.6 text lines? Or I need all of them?
  17. http://hwbot.org/community/submission/972050_sf3d_3dmark_vantage___performance_2x_radeon_hd_5970_52193_marks You are looking bad
  18. I've remembered about another bug - assume you are looking at Abit BE6-II specs. http://hwbot.org/hardware/motherboard/be6_ii?tab=2drankings#cpu-z First of all, the chipset page shows how much cups it has: http://hwbot.org/hardware/chipset/440bx But when you want to look a detailed info - for example in what category did it help to gain the golden cup, you can't. The 2D rankings just show the score and points - not the medals and cups. Besides, I don't get how much results is shown in the short chart - if you look at CPU-Z you can see 6 results. When clicking the top 100, you see 8. For PCMark05 it is 2 and 3 respectively. Though all three would fit in the short one Oh, and how about the hardware masters country page and the Country hardware points page and country global points pages as Massman once has shown us?
  19. The top 5 most active teams is bugged: http://hwbot.org/rankings/teams/worldwide It tells that all teams ranked 3rd in global ranking - this obviously can't be right.
  20. I've got some lines looking buged, for example: Is this normal or it's a bug? Looks like the symbols like ` ' " and so on are looking weird. The text is fine though. There's not much of them in the text but this makes understanding a bit longer.
  21. This feature should check age before for sure
