I myself think the XP Startup needs to be left alone. It's one of the few things left that requires some skill and research to keep it in check.

A couple bugs I've noticed... Memory Type Selection doesn't work in the submission forms. (DDR2, DDR3, Etc) Still have to use the "recalculate totals" button occasionally to make sure everything is totalled correctly and is all achievements have been granted. Even using that button, not ALL submissions are recalculated, only part of them. Hardware Library... I went in and tried to organize all my Hardware so that it was all correct, and I edited the submissions that listed the incorrect hardware, but those items still show up in my Hardware Library. (Under Disks... Vertex 3 Pro when it should have been Vertex 3) Also under Hardware Library, I show as having 2 submission with a "plain" GeForce GTX 580, when all of my 580 submissions have been made with an Asus Matrix 580, but for some reason it shows 2 entries with just the plain GTX 580. Search bar on main page is wack... As long as you select something from the drop down all is well, but if you hit enter to use it as a search engine... You get a coding error page.

I've been considering binning some 2600K's... Is there any point now that the 2700K has released? Are all the good 2600K's being binned as 2700K's?

LOD is also going to be dependant on your particular setup... I think I found when running my last batch of tests on PCM05 w/ GTX580 that 13 or so was the best to use. Also... And fairly obviously, don't be afraid to try negatives.

GREAT JOB MASSMAN! THANK YOU! It's nice to see that submission removed, and the new rule put into place so quickly. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this benchmark, other than the enforcement of the rules. I myself would hate to see it go, because it truly is one of the more "Fun" benchmarks to run and get good scores out of. I just wish people could get into this whole... "Spirit of the Rules" thing, and quit trying to cheat the system. Anyway... Thanks for dealing with this so swiftly. -David

I agree... No. If you allow RAM Cache, you might as well let Software RAM Disks into the mix also... And at that point, this benchmark has lost any usefullness.

I'm getting stopped with an error code of 71 on my MIVE-Z. Anybody else have this issue?

How about "resubmissions"? If you figure out towards the end of this competition that you've gone too fast, and want to resubmit a slower run, will the system allow you to do that?
