  1. We'll see what happens. It could be argued the competition rules don't say "Intel only" or "no LN2". The rules were not explicit about it , although XTU only runs on Intel. It also doesn't say the same CPU must be used for all stages.
  2. I found out from Mysticial that the newer versions of y-cruncher are better optimized for Ryzen
  3. My R7 1700X is dud since it isn't Prime stable over 39x multiplier. I pass Cinebench @ 4GHz (1.4V) though. It also segfaults with Linux kill-ryzen. If the R7 2700X manages to pull off over 4.4GHz 8 cores on air (<1.4V) then I will likely be RMA-ing the R7 1700X. My only concern is the cross-CCX latency doesn't seem to have been addressed as per Sisoft's leaked review.
  4. The rank sorting is terribly wrong in some benchmarks I noticed.
  5. Seems it is because the old challenge is ending March 11? http://hwbot.org/submission/3781489_alphac_specviewperf_12_creo_subtest_11_firepro_w5000_12.75_framessec
  6. He has just shy of 4GHz CPU clock, 3466MHz memory and tighter times than me per the result. The only thing I think of note is his memory may not be truly stable. Before running any benchmarks I ran my system through Prime95 with AVX, AIDA64 , memtest86, etc. I'm running Hynix 3200 MHz rated CL16.
  7. Ran Hwbot Realbench with admin rights. Got 3 results. Saved one and got the "rbr" file extension & screenshots. HWBot refuses to accept the rbr file and crashes when submitting via the program. Am I doing something wrong? I didn't have this trouble before.
  8. You should have a better score than me, I have a fully loaded Windows install with antivirus running.
  9. Is it not working or did I forget where to make it? I shouldn't be at the top for the Creo subtest 11 GPU benchmark. People need to submit more with TITAN xP / X Pascal since those use quadro drivers I think !
  10. Please consider adding the real-world based benchmarks used in specwpc (https://www.spec.org/gwpg/wpc.static/wpc-v2.1-info.html) which scale insanely with cores: Rodinia (pre-euler 3D) --- this is representative of Computational Fluid dynamics packages , see https://www.cs.virginia.edu/~skadron/wiki/rodinia/index.php/Rodinia:Accelerating_Compute-Intensive_Applications_with_Accelerators WPCcfd (based on OpenFoam) --- this is representative of Computational Fluid dynamics packages CalculiX ---- this is representative of Finite Element Analysis packages Poisson's Equation ---- partial differentiation solver Monte Carlo , Black Scholes, Binomial --- for financial analysts Luxrender --- maybe , it's a render benchmark but I think Corona benchmark would be more widely used ( https://corona-renderer.com/benchmark/all) FFTW --- anyone using Fast Fourier Transforms will make use of this (http://www.fftw.org/) single precision AVX. octave --- representative of MATLAB workloads to a certain extent (it uses .m files) python --- because python is used in the real world Kirchoff migration --- representative of geophysics workloads Just about nobody uses Superpi or wprime in daily use. The practical applications of that many digits of pi is extremely low. Also nobody buys a 10+ core CPU to run Superpi. x264 and x265 benchmarks are semi-useful as are Cinebench and Blender but there ought to be less focus on Digital Content Creation benchmarks and more scientific/engineering ones. I don't mind if no points are given but it would be helpful to people that use their CPUs for more than "just gaming" to have a better picture of the performance in real workloads. Just a thought. 11. I just hope 4.35GHz isn't the wall on ambient / closed loop water. FX9590 was clocked at 4.7GHz and pretty much anything over than needed an absurd amount of volts so it might very well be.
  12. I would look into integrating the forum with the hwbot site and implementing https on the hwbot site. Right now the forums are completely bifurcated from the hwbot site. It is evident since I was unable to reset my hwbot password yet was able to post here.
  13. 4.35? http://www.hwbattle.com/bbs/board.php?bo_table=hottopic&wr_id=8803 Firestrike Physics: 20,431 Firestrike Ultra Physics: 20,803 1783 : CB R15 (faster than R7 1800X @ 4GHz) 178 : CB R15 1T (about as fast as i5-7600k) Sandra Whetstone single thread: 16.91 (faster than i5-7600k) Sandra Dhrystone (Integer) single thread: 42.00 (faster than i7-8700k)
  14. Can't login to hwbot, only this forum. Also retrieve password isn't working. Please revise the message as it misspells HWBOT
