Any news on this benchmark , i need to know if the rules are the same and have not change before I go with a different set up and LN2 , i dont want to spent LN2 if the rules suddenly change. Update on this subject please chispy.

In escence i-Rams use DIMMS (memory meant to be used on motherboards and not hardrives ) HDD platters or normal HDD usage right ? Ok.

Im 100% with you here , those 2 options seems reasonable to me , either Remove the usage of i-Rams , SSds , hardware Ramdrives and any other drive but Normal HDD. let the benchmark run only on normal HD like it was meant to be. or Let all kind of HDD set ups in. I Promise this is not the last time that something like this would happenned again , technology will always bring something new to the table. SSds are new technology and will need the use of new Firmware and software to get the most out of it , alignment to run propperly as well as software for the Raid Controller. without software the SSds will not run propperly. This new technology will not work as it should without the use of software. IF you guys are going to ban MFT Tweak to assist SSds in write / reads , then you have to ban the use of i-Rams as it uses memory for this benchmark and not normal HDD platters.

Thank you for taking your time to read and understand this new technology Massman , in future release i they will release a version that will support bootable drive from MFT as i have contact them already. Please make a fair decision and update your PCMark05 rules in regard to the use of i-Rams , the HD test in PCMark05 was meant to be run on normal HD NOT i-Rams , Hardware Ramdisks or SSds.

My point of view and opinion , if you ban the use of SSds and MFT wich is the software that was made with SSds technolgy in mind solely, you will have to ban the use of i-Rams and hardware Ramdisk too as it will give you an inflated score on this benchmark '' Like in 3DMark vantage using PhysicsX as was mentioned before '' i-Rams inflate the score on the HD tests

I know the majority of top benchers will feel bad about new technology and the way its implemented in benchmarks , im sorry if it make you guys feel that way , i did not meant to start all this fuss and problems , reality check technology its catching up with old benchmarks.

Guys do your research, dont talk about MFT without fully knowing how MFT assist SSds and works '' IN SHORT ITS NOT SOFTWARE BASED RAMDISK '' Do not distortion and make it look the way you want it when you post ,digg deep into it on your research and understand. People are trying to make it look as it were a Software Based RamDisk , the fact it is NOT. chispy.

Exactly the same way i think and many many other people with new tech think , there always will be something new that will beat currently tech. I spent a lot of money on this new tech so that i can propperly have a decent score so i tottaly agree with you , second that and i am 100% sure many many guys like me think the same way

MFT its not the same as a software Ram drive or steadystate tweak , you guys have to fully understand the whole technology behind the tweak , it assist with writes and reads the SSds , it Runs on the SSds array and NOT in RAM like Software Based RamDisk that runs in Ram ,its a whole different thing. New Tech new hardware new support software for the new technology , people think that we would be running on i-Rams forever , but times have change and a whole new technlogy has replaced the i-Rams ,please understand it. to me i-Rams are already obsolete technology and are looking more and more like dinosours. Also people running crazy 3-4 i-Rams arrays Using another motherboard to assist the primary mobo so that it PCMark05 runs out of all the Ram on the i-Rams ??? Whats the difference of that and MFT ??? This is not fair i work very hard to get that score , loong nights and countless OS installations until i got it right. Again MFT RUNS on the SSds array and NOTon the Ram. Do a research and Google many days like i did , Understand the technology behind the SSds and MFT and maybe you guys will fully understand this new tech. hwbot will have to figure that out Gautam i dont have any ideas other than verification and proff of HD or SSd used, in my opinion the best way to show if you are really using software ramdrive or SSds is to post a scrennie with the hardware used like i did on mine that shows Adaptec SCSI array device , i think for future proff it needs to be requirement to show in a screenie this type of information with the type of array used and SSd type and info. Theres got to be a way to figure this out guys. chispy.

Guys , a good dedicated Raid card with 4 or more SSds its legit as far as i know ,even using OS tweaks , Its NOT A SOFTWARE RAMDISK. People needs to understand we cannot be using i-rams forever , SSds its new technology and we have to get used to the steps forward in technology not get stuck in time with i-rams only. Thats my opinion , but a valid one. My run was done using 4x 30GB SSds in Raid0 with a good Raid card Adaptec Raid 2405 controller + vista 64 tweaks , I spent 3 days tweaking the OS and learning how to get the most out of the SSds set up (expensive set up yes , but so the i-Rams too). I worked very hard to get my cpu system stable on SS above 4.6Ghz with HT enable as it gets very hot as you guys know and my SS cannot handle a big load with a lot of volts , it was a lot of work and time consuming to get a decent score so i expect the same from other members when submit their score (work hard for it), lets be fair for a minute ok. OMG , you are right Gautam those are all fake screenshoots , i cannot believe this still happenning and hwbot its doing nothing about it , all from the same guy . I knew somthing was not right when I saw those last benches of MR.Lobber and Tapakah . They keep doing it over and over again and get away with it . No wonder my friend James was so upset and he had all the right in the world to be upset , im with you James bro , This feels real bad for Us not cheating and working very hard to earn some points .
