Good 5960x

Bump!

Cool. Just to clarify, one occ per chuck?
-
Ah, gotcha. So multiple OCC will still be run case less. Is that one OCC per component cooled?? So for example XTU on x99 will require x3 OCC for cpu and both mem banks, more for sli 3d?
And how would that work from the dewar, 3+ branch manifold?
So i gather GPU chuck will be done so SLI no issues with fitment? Would there be the possibility of slim chucks for dual pcb/gpu cards?
Apologies for all the questions, sure they'll be asked at some point or another!
-
Not sure where this fits in with xoc unless you can run 3 separate heads minimum (cpu/gpu/ram) and have independent temp control for each?
Looks like a cool idea to be improved on although cost I would expect to be high. For a start certified pressurised dewars ain't cheap!
Voltage read out points would be an absolute must for board (easy to do) and gpu (not so easy, would need solution for external volt. regs.).
You'd also need to be able to raise temp independently for various cbb.
-
Very cool. Gather you've got read points extended from mobo and gpu to case for v readouts?
Cpu/mem/gpu independent temp?
Easy to raise / drop temp?

Can always recalculate points to update as well.
I'd you've had any submissions deleted by mod you'll receive a notification as to why the sub was removed.
This seems to be a recurring theme ximi!

Think it just needs moar powa!
My 5ghz cb chips do cb 49 about 1.35-38v. 5.0 around 1.45v. I'd expect yours to be 1.5v+. And yeah, high cache can certainly raise the vcore req.
-
You dropped places in global which resulted in those points being lost. No hack.
Just look through your previous global submissions and you'll see you've dropped position on a couple of big scoring globals.

Let me clarify... 4 dimm is better on ASRock, MSI and Asus but only on air. Go with 2 dimm on LN2 and you will see by yourself
Get you on that. Why the fundamental 2/4 sick issue anyway though? Purely down to mobo design or programming?

The jump in score between 2 sticks and 4 for same timings is significant. (single sided) Had someone test on OCF (2/4) and no change in score at all.
Edit: in fact they weren't even the same timings, quad wasn't as tight as dual and could only run 2t, still shafted dual score.

That's not the same run/chip. Please stop posting in this thread.

Very nice roman! Copyright/patent!

My bad then. Seems this quad thing on z170 is a miss guided perception then. I shall go investigate!

Yeah, good chip. Should net someone a few tidy scores!
x45. 1.18v was a stab in the dark. Checked at 1.15v no pass so should do x45 somewhere in between.
Also runs 3400c11 e die on air no problem.
Also ran 4.925 FSE but i'd need to ask marc for screen. Can't remember vcore but was something like 1.45-48.

Bought this 5960x from Marc a few weeks back but surplus to requirements.
Retail chip / boxed.
CB15 47/47 @ 1.3v/1.4v on ambient (22deg), 1.9v VRIN, 1.51v VL6. Didn't spend a lot of time with this so might use less v/clock. No cold testing.
€SOLD shipped worldwide.
Payment by Paypal / Bank transfer.

Excellent!
Out of curiosity, what's the explanation behind the xtu 2/4 stick phenomenon? I.e, msi needs quad and asrock for example only dual.
-
Well done dude! Cold mem time!
-
Good man! Need any help just shout, think I helped out a while back with the haswell batch thread.

Very nice indeed!
