M8I already works with A2 DIMMs.

So are F and G better with 9xxx training those speeds or are the newer BIOSes just worse in general?

From all the testing I’ve seen on YouTube from the likes of der8auer and Steve from Gamers Nexus, it’s just a refresh of 7980xe with solder that can’t be delidded without killing the chip, so...yeah.

I hope you guys got free samples and didn't spend $600 on a Z390 board.

Might be not constant, I had 4500c18 which were A2 (and not as good as I hoped )
Looks like you're right, this kit was 4133 and is clearly A2:

Xtreem 4000 should be A1 shouldn't it? I know the 4500 kit I had was.

This was good to go at first try, 4133 could train but cannot enter os, the kit i used was not of best quality though.
Crazy how high binned B-die kits doesn't guarantee extreme OC ability. I have a lowly set of Trident Z RGB 3600C17 that will happily boot into Windows XP 4133 12-11-11-28 1T, but a kit of Team T-Force Xtreem 4500 wouldn't.

Lovely. Fix for a board I'll never get my hands on without spending copious amounts of $$$ to import. But hey websmile, that tip for the MOCF is working nicely!

I can confirm Master Websmile's trick works, I also found this to be really strange that we have to turn on XMP. Tried the EXACT same setting with all manual subtiming but it won't work unless XMP is enabled.
And yeah it seems at the moment Z170 MOCF is the best board for running A2 PCB DIMM with 4000+ CL12 everything else tightened up (Compared to this, my X APEX barely managed 3866 tights, will try with more boards)Not a lie was told. HyperX RGB 4000 easily did 4KC12 32M wazza.

Lol, I forgot - it is weird but quite simple, despite setting all by hand or profile it helps to set the XMP option to enabled in the memory section, this seems to change some values you cannot set manually in BIOS. Worked for me on several MOCF boards with capable cpu and memory

How late Saturday evening?

I know the pin short is correct because the CPUs work on MOCF and IX Apex, but last time I checked the ME was showing 0.0.0.0 with the 8350k so I probably need to re-flash.

All 6 Core are working fine, even 9900k is posting but freezes at the splash screen.
I couldn't get 8700k or 8086k to boot on M8i with the Coffee Lake BIOS. Any special instructions other than shorting the two usual pads together?
-
I don't think the 6 and 8 core CPUs work on M8i even with the mod. I could only get it to boot with an i3 8350k.

Anyone still have BIOS x5r for Z270x SOC?? I found x8r but it doesn't seem to be working for me and wanted to try an older XOC bios.

yeah, fixed, cheers. If only I could not BSOD007B now with my Z270 XP Install.
Inaccessible boot device, which is what I figured would happen. I have no idea how Team AU got XP working since there are no XP drivers for Z370 Intel SATA controllers that I am aware of.

Good luck finding a M10A though, easier to get M9A for some reason.

I thought XP didn't have the drivers to boot on the Intel Z370 SATA controller.

I only have tested these on asus apex x apart from the mocf and a2 layout is not compatible with asus BIOS or memory architecture, so 4kc12 or above with divider doesn´t work there.
Did you have to train one stick and set RTLs for both channels first or could you just boot both sticks 4133C12 like normal?

How much dram voltage do you need for 4.2k 12-11?
Given that OCFM overvolts by about 0.07v, it's probably 2.12v for that run.
