Anyone mind explaining this?? The heck did Mad Tse manage 4133C12 32M on OCFM with sticks that use RGB layout???

There aren't very many USB manufacturers though, an image with integrated Asmedia, NEC/Renesas and VIA drivers would do the trick. They all tend to use unified driver packages (per manuf).

BIOS 103 Only supports SKL-X, FYI.

I have that one, it can't quite fit. That's a tight space.

Does anyone know of a clip for an SPI programmer that can fit in the tight space where the BIOS chips are on this board? I messed up the MEI and need to flash that way.

How's IMC looking so far?

Crap how'd I miss this?

No board mod but you need an EEPROM flasher.

M8I works just fine with 8350k, check the Maximus VIII thread for CFL bios and instructions. I haven't had success with 8700k on it but that may be due to not being able to isolate the required pins.

I've noticed this board really trains quickly when paired with Coffee Lake if you have the VIDMM right for your speed+timings.

Boy those take me back. Wish you success on the sale!

Any 32M tips with KBL-X on this board? Have a kit that can do 4133 12-11-11-1T on Z170 OCFM but not on X299 OCF.

The dream kit,and low voltage also. Nice find.
Remember OCFM overvolts by 0.07v so it's really 2.02v (measured with DMM). I'm mad because all the high binned kits I bought brand new so far haven't been able to do this. At least I know I have a CPU+mobo combo that isn't the issue now.

3600C15 on paper sounds like a super bin but I got two kits and they fail 32M instantly 4K 12-11-11 no matter how I tweak volts.

8350k doesn’t work for me but 8700K and 8086K do.

Try a middle-man service like Buyee or Celga.

What PCB type on the G.Skill sticks?

This is giving me flashbacks but I'm not sure if they're good ones or bad ones...

Can we talk more about the different PCB layouts for B-die kits?
The top as we all know works on everything for stuff like 4KC12, but the bottom is very picky. I've found that Maximus VIII Impact, MSI Z270i Gaming Pro Carbon, MSI X299 Xpower and Asrock X299 OC Formula can handle them well. It seems a lot of kits these days are getting the bottom layout even for non-RGB modules and it's a shame we can't clock them on stuff like the Apex boards higher than 3733-3866C12. I wonder if a UEFI update for those boards could fix the compatibility or if it's simply an issue with the physical DRAM topology.

I'm probably the only person that has this board and I've never done LN2, looks like you might have to be the pioneer.

I managed 4KC12 1T 32M with a kit of these on the X299 OCF with 7740x (and probably the M8I with any decent 6th/7th/8th Gen chip will too).
ASRock z170 MOCF lives on Coffee Lake Mods
in Skylake/Kaby Lake/Coffee Lake (-X) (Z170/Z270/Z370/X299) OC

The fact that sticks with that layout work on a few other boards (M8i, X299 OCF) indicates an issue with most boards training. I do remember getting some of my RGB sticks to boot 4000C12 on MOCF by booting single stick, then setting RTLs and adding the 2nd so maybe that's what he did.
