Sharing Hardware its legit on the same Team ?
No1Spank replied to a topic in Submission & member moderation
Bit harsh, the threads that I have started have all been answered reasonably quickly. Considering HwBot is free I think it does a great job as do the people running it. There is the ability to create your own competitions so you can tailor the rules to suit enthusiasts. Thinking of organising one myself which I will call the "Quad thread open". Any non Xeon or Opteron CPU's with quad threads except Skylake & Kaby Lake i5 and Coffee Lake i3 with clock speed lmit of 5ghz. Benches would be Cinebench 15, X265 4K & Firestrike Ultra with any non Titan GPU. Will discuss it with fellow overclockers at UK bench meet beginning of March. I feel revision 7 has taken into account points I've raised on here in the past even if they weren't agreed with at the time. Overclocking as a thing hasn't matured yet like the gaming scene so need to be a bit patient. -
Global points & rank wrong on X265 4K tripe core

It was but now someone else has submitted and I have less points again than Jokot even though my sub was faster. -

I only benched it last week, they have tied our points now so justice has been served. -
Global points & rank wrong on X265 4K tripe core

I have literally spent hours trying to get that bench, I threw everything at it. Without going to better cooling I don't think I can pull clear. Originally we were on equal points which I was happy with. Too many other things to bench at the moment so will be a long time before I revisit this. -
I should be ranked 3rd place ahead of Jokot who completed the bench almost 3 seconds slower than me but he is ranked 2nd and I'm ranked 5th. Looking at the table I should be on at least 73.1 points the same as Jokot which I was until NoMS made his submission which should be ranked 2nd. At least he has the correct points though. Hope it's not too much of a problem to sort out. Thanks in advance.

When I looked in the bios CPU was at about 17 degrees C ticking over, when I monitored under load it would crash if it hit 23 degrees C. Well happy!! I'll be concentrating on my FX8370 at the meet, time goes quick and want to try for an 8ghz CPUZ score. Once I have it dialed in I'll keep running other benches with it. Will lap it and start practising with it next weekend. I'll bring the FX6300 & Sabretooth as a backup.

When I try to compare CPU's & graphics cards no benchmark results will load. Quite a handy section for general visitors to the site looking to upgrade hardware.

Could be, I had some on Fry Bench.

+1 I've noticed this too.

Will definately be there, need to prep my Formula Z and go for an 8+ ghz clock on my FX 8370.

Can PCmark 10 Be benched on Windows 10 on any system
No1Spank replied to No1Spank's topic in Benchmark Rules
Thanks but are submissions on Wondows 10 valid on hwBot if on any system or just Skylake & Kaby Lake etc? -
I can't see any rules available for this benchmark and want to play with it on some of my older hardware but it won't run on Windows 7. Can I bench my FX, Haswell and Ryzen etc on it using Windows 10? Thanks

No1Spank - Pentium E2180 @ 3539.8MHz - 3539.81 mhz CPU Frequency
No1Spank replied to No1Spank's topic in Result Discussions
By the way it was the E-2160 that I tried on LN2 not this E-2180. Got a bit mixed up as it was so long since I did this benchmark. -

I was using LOD, made a small amount of difference. Just looked at the maximum CPU speeds I got with the E-2160 on air. Before delid 2900 mhz approx on air. After delid 3200 mhz roughly on air. Something like 20 degrees C difference on one of the cores at 2.9ghz. I tried a TEC on that CPU but didn't upload as I wanted to stay in enthusiast league. I got 3.2ghz with that before the delid but once I did it the TEC was no better than just using a decent air cooler. In fact I think I got a few more mhz over 3.2 with just the tower cooler. I suppose for LN2 you are right it wouldn't make a difference, but I still like benching on air/water & chilled. -

Maybe won't use that cpu again cold as it's past it's bext but I've got 3 decent X48 boards now and a few 775 cpu's. I coud do with a decent delid tool though as these old ones are really hard to do with a razor blade without damaging them. I bought one of ebay but it was rubbish. By the way Grorge now the competition is over what is the secret to decent scores with the GT 1030? I had decent CPU, memory and GPU clocks but still go beaten by people with slower setups. I tried tweaking every setting in the Nvidia 3d settings I could. -

It was delided but no I didn't get a sub, as soon as I loaded CPUZ it crashed every time even when I kept lowering the clock. The CPU is over 10 years old so I guess it was degrading fast. -

No, but I did try it on LN2 and I couldn't hold speed long enough to save CPUZ file, think I had it over 4.6ghz. My pot was bolted on though as didn't have the right bracket so that could be the problem. -
Can Ryzen be benched on Windows 10?
No1Spank replied to No1Spank's topic in Ryzen | Bristol Ridge AM4
I always bench Kaby Lake with Windows 7 now anyway as it gives better results most of the time. You don't need chipset drivers for most motherboards if you just want to run benches either, I don't bother loading them in anymore.
