Imo, theres 2 different SB chip. One with wall @ XX50ish Mhz (50Mhz+ from highest multi) and the other with wall @ XX99 Mhz (99.9 BCLK max. with highest multi)

Tested 16 pcs. of 3101A201s...pretty decent batch averaging 53Xs even with small samples I ended up with (1) 5.50Ghz s/n A1181 - (1) 5.65Ghz s/n A1499 - (1) 5.75Ghz s/n A1983 The only similiarity I can think of those >54X cpus is their last two digits of s/n somewhere between 80~99

L041C108....5.5Ghz maxed. Nowadays, my local Micro Center looks like Luxor Las Vegas where I can gamble for 5 minutes with a 2600K on 50/50 odds. Lol

Intel QC for SB just laughing when they saw retail end customer started to do cpu binning for them:) From thousands of 2600Ks sold worlwide only a few that can go >5.8Ghz..a few in Japan, two in Europe and one in US and a little bit more that can go >5.7Ghz worldwide..So far Of course a few probly can be found at "in house" mobo makers QVT testing lab and probly a lot of peep that own 2600K but never bother to try boot up at >56X Dunno abot 2500K though..
