  1. So once again the team can earn points that it has already earned as individuals? If there is a team then I believe no members of the team should be able to submit results for the hardware used on an individual basis. Each run done by the team could easily be submitted under a single users ID and have the team members listed in the description. Ex. If three ppl bench together why not list all 01 scores under one user, all 03 scores under another user, and finally all 05 scores under the last user. If it is such a team effort this shouldn't be too difficult to work out amongst themselves. Maybe unethical but the scores could easily be blocked. This sub-team in question was logged into the forums yesterday afternoon but had nothing to add to the thread.? What is so unethical about blocking scores that are causing so much contraversy until a solution is determined? I agree about the teams but there is one team that made a jump recently and it appears as though results may be being submitted by more then one user. Four out of the top 5 members all have similiar results and similiar HW runs all using LN2. Some runs submitted within a day or two of each other. Mind you this team is comprised of two seperate forums that recently combined. Praz this couldn't have been said any better!
  2. I agree.......funny it almost makes submissions here worthless, especially when it is so easy to rack up points just by visiting others. I thought the whole point of the newer version was to generate charts and logs of useful data to compare. I guess you now need to factor in a divider on what you think may possibley be the same hardware being run in a differant location.
  3. After reading up alot on PSU's I upgraded. I recently had a 850W game go south. I didn't start having issue until I was running a Q6600 at 1.7v and 8800GTX at 1.5v. I purchased a 1000W Ultra X3 PSU. The reason being the amperage was a reading off a single rail. I believe the quad at 1.7v is why I had issues but it can't be proven. Either that or electronic noise. Whichever I know I am extremely happy with the stability of the new PSU. As for the Japanese benchers most are C2D's and not quad's also they have no power needed for a GPU.
  4. I totally agree that this is wrong. I brought up a question to the BE team a few months back. My gf was getting into ocing. I asked the team whether I should let her bench my rig on LN2 and submit the scores. I would give her suggestions as to what was wrong when she walled but it would be up to her. Overall the majority suggested it wasn't ethical. So now it is ok for me to grab my rig and visit each player on the BE bench team and submit a score while benching with each one? I believe 2 members are in NJ and another 2-3 in NY so saying 5 differant bench sessions with the HW I have and we can earn the team an easy 200-300 each session. This would mean a quick extra 1000-1500 pts. for the team or more. I think the higher score wether it be the the individual user or team effort should be kept but a team should not have a score allowed for both a single user and a team. If this be the case why have team scores? I think it would cause false results among all teams. If you want to make this fair on any level this should not be allowed. As a matter of fact to scare people out of doing this sort of thing there should be a post or front page stating so. Give the teams time to adjust there scores and if not have the teams banned from the hwbot system.
  5. Not sure on this one but both 06 screens show differant readings? http://www.hwbot.org/compare.do?resultId=616270
  6. Ok this one has a link but the resolution is 1024x768. I had one like that myself awhile back but realized what happened and pulled it the next day. More then likely his monitor is not capable of running 1280x1024. http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=2447880
  7. This one is still up. http://www.hwbot.org/compare.do?resultId=626494 Edit: well I guess it was just reposted

  10. http://www.hwbot.org/compare.do?resultId=622242 Error in computition time on pifast
  11. Yup I do use it. Not that I am happy about it but to have competitive scores you need to. I personally see it as another tweak. Running a dual or quad core cpu and setting the affinity for the fastest core in a single threaded bench is that a cheat? The cpu was made to run with multiple cores. I do run benches without LOD but the ones I submit are adjusted. Does that include tweaking rivatuner to allow settings of 9 and higher?
  12. How do scores differ between software and hardware ram disks? In other words how do you prove a score used software vs. hardware?
  13. Over 16k in 06 at default X6800 and single 8800GTX at default? Also can't find anything else by user and if team is checked doesn't show user on the team. http://www.hwbot.org/result.do?resultId=619192
  14. 3dmark 2001 HOF same user in 18th and 19th place. Checking user profile also shows points for 2 identical Super Pi 1m runs for differant teams.
  15. http://www.hwbot.org/result.do?resultId=602514 Says in link 2x8800gts’s in the description but it's posted in single card area
  16. Ok about the HT just haven't seen any others show as a dual core or two seperate cores. Also the bottom of the box show that the "missing libraries" wheren't installed. Just checking since I need to get a gauge of what scores I need when I throw mine back in the mobo.
  17. http://www.hwbot.org/result.do?resultId=601800 Dual core on a single core cpu? Missing libraries never installed?
  18. "an admin" ? the owner:) and he was joking of course Of coarse I knew he was joking and the admin was a joke due to the title under his name.
  19. Cheat hmmm and that coming from an admin. Since prizes will be by drawings everyone has a chance to win some cool stuff.
  20. Can the same person bench for two teams using two differant id's? http://www.hwbot.org/result.do?resultId=584988 http://www.hwbot.org/result.do?resultId=584979
  21. http://www.hwbot.org/result.do?resultId=557196 Result posted is an error finish
  22. http://www.hwbot.org/compareProcessorResult.do?resultId=593566#result#result#result#result two of the people posting here appear to be the same running for differant forums is that allowed? Same name but one ends in 83 the other in 1983. The highest score is a link to a forum in a differant language which you need to register to see? Another link is to an EVGA banner?
