Till the time Nvidia drivers give option to set Tesselation ON/OFF, I doubt GTX680 can really take off among overclockers. It needs insane clocks like Vince's results to break 7970 records.

7970 Lightning and DCII haven't convinced me yet!
I mean that I haven't noticed anyone with huge clocks (elmor doesn't count once he is working for MSI).
On the other side many ref. cards have scaled at 1600+ core.
yes, the max limits of Tahiti GPU you can reach with reference card, Lightning is not better on air/on ln2 then reference cards, great features ... but for nothing. And for 600 USD? No way ... this is 3-months King, real champion will be GTX 680 Lightning ... with beefy VRM

Second strange thing is Unlocked BIOS, i thought Unlocked (no powertune, no ocp, no ccc limits, no aps) in only LN2 BIOs, but it seems Original is unlocked too ... its good, but power consuption of card is brutal because no power tune ...

i have one BIG problem, no DVI output support Dual-link on this card, i cannot to connect 30" LCD, webpage of product confirms this EPIC FAIL!
Dual Link: NA! WTF how can i to connect 2560x1600 panel? No 30" has DP now ...

that was misinterpreted, they are working on 2 GH capable card, but only under LN2 ... default clock will be 1200 MHz

its not too good clocker then classic model, maybe under LN2 will be better ... but i dont think so ...

bob80 - it working only in apps with profile in driver, but you can make own profiles for new apps ...

ive checked whitepaper, there is nothing about real principles, only PR massage ... read it carefully, its not talking about higher fps but better responsiveness
PS. Against Multi-gpu theory is another fact, there is MVP exists for system with only one GPU (only i-mode mode) with HyperFormnce and Virtual Vsync ...

you guys vote against, can I ask why? Are you too lazy to OC the iGPU and to configure this program? You guys allow so many other tweaks to be used, but not one that actually revolutionizes gaming?
There is not point in using any of the sub-par Intel overclocking systems released in the past year, just to send a direct message to Intel please don't give us CPUs that don't OC to 6GHz, and cost more than we should be paying, and which clock so differently, it makes OCing less fun.
So when SB came out was there this much cry to not let SB be used b/c it would overtake the rankings?

I see what you mean you will lose points to software, but it is more than software, as the iGPU is being used. it is like Hybrid CF with Intel.
You are absolutely wrong, this is not CF with Intel HD Graphics but this only technically (virtually) raises fps for better input lag, fps are the same but to system are reported higher ... maybe some tweak there will raise these virtual fps to 1000 and you will see 3D Mark 11 single GPU results 50 000 points ... without Ocing the VGA! Check Anandtech analyse about it, this MVP is PURE FAKE to customers, to benchmarks ... it is not raises fps for real, but only reporting higher ...

As far as I can understand from the Lucid website, the licence for the software is hidden in the BIOS code. So, I think the software just checks if the bios licence matches software licence or so.

this is very easy how to mask it and cheat results, make an higher score then in normal mode, 3D mark dont recognize MVP activated! You will see many world records with low-end VGAs

It's a strap, not a multiplier. Use 100 strap for 100-110 bclk, 125 strap for 115-135 etc. Just leave it at auto which works very well (told them to add a note about this).
ive told ya, only 100 mhz strap working here ... everything at default, only change strap from 100 to 125/167 ... and mem from 2133/1866 to 1333/1600 and nothing, only FF on display, have to reset cmos ...

i have (again) problem here, have BIOS 111, board behave very weird, lot of restarts, reboot loops, but with older bios is working, BUT ... any CPU Strap then 100 is not working, 125/167 = FF on display ... WTF?

this is card never be in shops ... this is HD 7970 PCB - card ony fore reviews, but all HD 7950 has different PCB and cheapo DDR modules ... mine Asus is stable only at 1150/6300

Kepler crush them in every benchmark and test! I spoke with some guy from NV and Kepler is as groundbreaking as the G80 GPU was. The enormous power, higher than the 7970 OC, a completely new architecture, no hotclock, many new features, gaming GPU only (Full big GPGPU chip will be released later), not a tuned Fermi but a completely brand new architecture. Now is starting manufacturers sampling phase, after Chinese New year
we can expect first real leaks from chinese factories ... launch April.
