Crew Strunkenbold Posted July 6, 2015 Crew Share Posted July 6, 2015 Around CPU-Z 1.70 CPU-Z has finally fixed detection for Slot A Argon, Pluto and Orion CPUs. Also see my verification with Athlon 700Mhz Argon Core 0,25µm which is in our db currently listed as Pluto. See also Kotoris sub which is incorrectly named by CPU-Z as Pluto while it should be an Argon. Rename: Athlon 500Mhz (Slot, Pluto) to Athlon 500Mhz (Slot, Argon) Athlon 550Mhz (Slot, Orion) to Athlon 550Mhz (Slot, Pluto) Athlon 550Mhz (Slot, Pluto) to Athlon 550Mhz (Slot, Argon) Athlon 600Mhz (Slot, Orion) to Athlon 600Mhz (Slot, Pluto) Athlon 600Mhz (Slot, Pluto) to Athlon 600Mhz (Slot, Argon) Athlon 650Mhz (Slot, Orion) to Athlon 600Mhz (Slot, Pluto) Athlon 650Mhz (Slot, Pluto) to Athlon 650Mhz (Slot, Argon) Athlon 700Mhz (Slot, Orion) to Athlon 700Mhz (Slot, Pluto) Athlon 700Mhz (Slot, Pluto) to Athlon 700Mhz (Slot, Argon) Athlon 750Mhz (Slot, Orion) to Athlon 750Mhz (Slot, Pluto) Athlon 800Mhz (Slot, Orion) to Athlon 800Mhz (Slot, Pluto) Athlon 850Mhz (Slot, Orion) to Athlon 850Mhz (Slot, Pluto) Add: Athlon 1000Mhz (Slot, T-Bird)

All 0.25µm are Argons while only the higher 0.18µm bins are Orion.

Crew Strunkenbold Posted August 17, 2015 Author Crew Share Posted August 17, 2015 The cooling is in general very bad of these CPUs. Massive heat got the caps bulging of basically all Slot A boards and thats why u almost get no board anymore.
Kotori
I've checked my slot A sub, and it had been appropriately modified, thank you Strunkenbold-san!
