nickolp1974 Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 (edited) Ordered myself a set of Team Xtreem 3866mhz ddr4 with samsung IC's but i keep reading/seeing about AFR's, are these Hynix based kits and are they available retail and in what form?? Just wondering if i made the right choice, thoughts?? Edited September 18, 2015 by nickolp1974 Quote
Administrators websmile Posted September 18, 2015 Administrators Posted September 18, 2015 (edited) Ask for some samples, AFR are not on retail kits as far as I know - times when manufacturers sold best of brand mems on retail market are long over, today handpicked samples are sent out to a few people for promo and reject ics are used for the retails customer pays for^^ P.S. In general Samsungs seem to be better choice on air because they run higher frequency in average without cold, on cold hymix afr and mfr are better Edited September 18, 2015 by websmile Quote
nickolp1974 Posted September 18, 2015 Author Posted September 18, 2015 Ask for samples??? I dont think i'm worthy for that yet!! I'm pretty sure the Xtreem's should do pretty well with a good volatge boost tbh i cant wait to get my hands on them and skylake, should be fun. Quote
Administrators websmile Posted September 18, 2015 Administrators Posted September 18, 2015 Specs are not too bad, and price as well - have fun Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted September 18, 2015 Crew Posted September 18, 2015 I'm having scaling performance issues with my samsung (first on hand touch makes me feel these are the new Hynix MFR with DDR3), but need to contact Hiwa asap for a checkup... Quote
