Posted September 17, 20168 yr I have an MSi z170 Mpower and a i3-6320 processor. I am trying to overclock it but the board seems to have a limit of 118 for the bk. I've set beta runner to NOC. Any help would be appreciated.
September 19, 20168 yr Can you post your detailed settings? If I had problems with MSI, it usually helped to remove the BIOS battery, go back to the bios and apply all settings at once.
September 19, 20168 yr Author Just seen your response. I changed to extreme6. So I'll have to setup the board again. Basically for beta runner there are two options, NOC and real thread. Under NOC when I type in 125 the value is auto changed back to 118. Under real thread the value 125 does not change but the system will not boot. I get picks as soon as I can. Thank for your response.
September 19, 20168 yr Author Thanks for the confirmation. I'll have to try to find a bios somebody modded. MSI only has two bios's in their website. Tried both

September 25, 20168 yr Author Thanks for the link, but I have the Mpower motherboard. Can I use the Xpower bios on the Mpower? Not willing to try without confirmation.
September 28, 20168 yr Don't flash Xpower bios on Mpower board. In case you'd try, I'm pretty sure there's a mechanism to prevent you from flashing the incorrect BIOS though. This should be the latest BETA BIOS for the Mpower Gaming Titanium: http://217.110.237.70/fae_de/BIOS/Z170A/7A16_121.zip (Aug 30)
September 28, 20168 yr Author Thanks for the link. Using the my Asrock board right now. Why try after Challenger Competition ends.
