debs3759
I will be installing Windows 7 on a few PCs over the next couple of weeks, for GPU benching. Is there a way to trick it into getting updates, or does anyone know of a resource to download essential updates beyond SP1?
mllrkllr88
I haven't found a need for updates past SP1. There are a few things you may need like dotnet 3.5 and such, but those are standalone and not part of the updates. In a very rare case you need a standalone update for W7 to make HWinfo in GPUPI work, but technically that's not even required for Hwbot rules. Was there something in particular you needed the updates for?
debs3759
I'll only be using the system for benchmarking (and possibly for testing any software I write, but benching is the reason for the builds). I don't know how necessary the updates are for that. I will always be connected to the internet, so it's more a precaution than anything. Crew Leeghoofd Posted July 1, 2019 Crew Share Posted July 1, 2019 (edited) I needed two KB updates to get CB R20 running here, but that's not GPU :p Edited July 1, 2019 by Leeghoofd
