Seriously, one point is that they were said to sell out B-die after they went for a lot of other ics real early for 3733 and above models, plus they are hit and miss even more than other vendors.

Thanks for the reply! Overclockers explicitly state b-die, so if Thaiphoon says otherwise, I feel like I could return it for being mis-sold.

Should I be looking for CAS 18, even if tRCP and tRP are worse?

 

No - 4000c18-22 are Hynix 99% and even stuff like 4400 19-25 is confirmed hynix lately. 4400 19-19 should still be Samsung, on 4000c19 I am not sure but in theory also these should still be B-die.
