czolgista778
Looking for ASUS Rampage V Edition 10 Must be in an unmodified condition (no missing or repaired socket pins). Preferrably with I/O shield. I'm located in the Netherlands. Edited February 6, 2022 by czolgista778
suzuki
Hi, i think i still have my x99 Asrock Oc Formula, ES, the version with 4 dimms, 2 on each side. Pm if interested.
Sparks.nl
I would not take MSI as well in that case. I fried 3 motherboards (or was it 4) in a year while still running on air. The Asus "did it all" and never died (never fried a cpu as well by the way). MSI is nice to have for a daily while not overclocking. czolgista778
Well, now I'm puzzled...I thought at least MSI was a safe bet, however they also use that 'OC socket' thing. I've had my adventures with ASUS's X99 offerings and wouldn't like to gamble anymore on a board. I think pretty much any X99 will max out a 6950X on AIO/ambient if the VRM is kept cool enough? I've played with X99 back when it came out and remember 6950 being a stubborn chip, 4.3-4.4GHz is all they did without having to pump big volts into it. Sparks.nl
I never looked beyond Asus and MSI. Maybe Asrock or Gigabyte?
czolgista778
Played with Asrock but it acts weird. I found out roughly why Asus damages X99 CPU's - it's overvolting way too high by itself. Therefore I'm willing to give the ASUS Rampage V Edition 10 a shot. Sparks.nl
I never had a single issue with Asus, but then again I control all settings and write all down every run I make.
