visionx
hi. i have a completely unlocked 465 wich is by all means a 470. I posted at overclockdotnet with my question but got mixed reviews so i figured i would come here to be safe. should i post my benches as a 465 since thats what the card is or as a 470 wich is what gpu-z claims it is? thanks for replies. -visionx-
reggiesanchez
you need to post as a 470 if you have unlocked shaders least thats my 2 cents just look at the gpuz for other 465 entries that should tell you. I would hope you dont see many that say gtx470 and the amount of shaders are correct but i dunno
visionx
according to the rules it should be posted as original card (465) but seems a bit unfair and screenies would'nt match....
knopflerbruce
it's still a 465 even if the BIOS is changed and flashed to a different card. Nothing unfair at all, anyone can flash to a 470 BIOS, no?

Luebke
i guess it´s allowed, too. some cards were able to such tweaking (gf6200A, gf6800, x800 gto², gtx465, 6950) others not. physical it is the same card, you just modify the bios, but modifying a bios is normal for cpu, so why not for gpu? in your case i´d ask massman. xoqolatl
There are already some scores of 470s in 465 category. Question is, what would stop a guy from benching his 470 and submitting it as a 465 unlocked to 470? How can you tell if it's a flashed unlocked 465 or a stock 470?
