Why are almost of all the recent top scores listed as "moderated"

Featured Replies

I've been looking through the rankings recently and noticed that basically every score up there is like this, with the bell grayed out. Are there really people out there reporting every single score that's being submitted to hwbot?

I think every global top20 score has to be approved by the mods before it's added to the ranking. Or they check the scores themselves. It's not that they all get reported at least:)

I think I read somewhere that it's hwbot's new policy, checking every TOP 20 score to prevent false or faked scores from entering the world record page / database.

Ok, I wanted to say something about this a while ago. About that crazy Monstru person that checks every top 20 score... I am not watching you, I didn't go crazy, I am not on a checking spree. But HWB's policy is that every TOP20 score should be moderated by a mod, so that is what I have done :D

Hmm...but doesn't this prevent them from being reported and hence open to scrutiny?

Yes but they are not immune from scrutiny, if you see something that looks off please feel free to contact any hwbot moderator about it.
