debs3759 Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 I just took a look at the CPU frequency results for the 3870K, and I see that the latest CPU-Z has rejected every result, no matter what the overclock. I also noticed that only 2 of the results gained any hardware points for that result, and they aren't the fastest results. In fact, most benches with this APU have resulted in 0 points for the best result! Does anyone know why the results are rejected by CPU-Z? Also, is that the reason why most of the results got no hw points? I'm asking because I will be benching one very soon, and as I know I won't be breaking any records, if I am likely to earn no points I may not push it as hard. Quote
Formula350 Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Tried it with the latest version? CPU-Z 1.59.4 just got posted on Stasio's list of tools today. I haven't had my desktop connected to the network lately so I can't tell you if it's approving results. Quote
debs3759 Posted February 14, 2012 Author Posted February 14, 2012 Thanks, I've now downloaded that. I can't test it yet as I'm waiting for the processor in the mail, but I will try it as soon as it arrives Quote
Massman Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 CPU-Z has had this problem for a long time. Officially, it's because the CPU isn't stable enough, but ... well, it happens to stock systems too. Quote
Christian Ney Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 I think they are all rejected due to validations with bus speed x2 on AMD's cpu on valid.canardpc.com Quote
