  6. Hey, I gave my delidded 3870K a shot on LN2 last night and got 6GHz valid (5999 with clock drift :() but only around 5.2 GHz benchable for SP1M, is this normal? I also saw scaling up to 2.05V for max. valid but only around 1.75V for benching. Weridly multicore max. benchable frequency was the same as singlecore.

hi, ive got this bios from Gigabyte's support team, it allows you to adjust the fixed NB clock(720Mhz in F5a)! and i've modded this build, so thats why i call it F5c, the original unpublished version is F5b! It fits just for A75-D3H. - 3.2.1.0 AHCI rom (F5a/b 3.0.C.2) very impressive speedup! - IGP BIOS 012.043.000.021.000000 (F5a/b 012.043.000.014.000000) - custom welcome screen note: the bios is in beta state, can causes system malfuncion even a dead mobo, flash for your own risk! ive updated mine with Qflash, worked like a charm. the zip contains gigabytes original F5b and customized F5c!

  8. Note: As far as I'm aware, this is only for the A75-UD4H. I titled this thread with only "A75" as I am hoping to get the same Beta for the -UD2H (no guarantees). Please read the included Disclaimer text. It includes what has changed, and what I've so far discovered as bugs.

  9. Noticed a hugeeee difference in memory performance between the ASRock A55 Pro3 and it's replacement, Gigabyte A75-UD4H. The ASRock was getting anywhere from 2000-3000MB/s better Write speeds, around 10,000MB/s to 11,000MB/s. The UD4H was only managing 6,000MB/s to 8,500MB/s (I did break 9,000MB/s in an unstable config though). Initially I thought it was a problem with the CPU-NB (Mem Controller) in the BIOS, which I discovered was not running at it's full 900MHz at any DDR3 speed, which it should auto configure it 900MHz when running at DDR3-1866. Instead it was stuck on 720MHz, which is what DDR3-1600 auto configs to, and that's a healthy speed difference! Inform…

I'm currently setting up a UD4 with an A8-3870K, and having trouble with temp monitoring. Real temp tells me my processor isn't supported. Core Temp and HWMonitor both say the CPU temp is 0C. Is there an app that will give me accurate (or even halfway decent!) temperature monitoring before I start to overclock it?

  11. Started by debs3759,

I just took a look at the CPU frequency results for the 3870K, and I see that the latest CPU-Z has rejected every result, no matter what the overclock. I also noticed that only 2 of the results gained any hardware points for that result, and they aren't the fastest results. In fact, most benches with this APU have resulted in 0 points for the best result! Does anyone know why the results are rejected by CPU-Z? Also, is that the reason why most of the results got no hw points? I'm asking because I will be benching one very soon, and as I know I won't be breaking any records, if I am likely to earn no points I may not push it as hard.

Introduction Not much to say about this topic so far. I just wanted to test Llano because from other people's results it looks like quite a lot of fun. Also, I needed a reference system for the GIGABYTE A75 OC Challenge. First I did a bit of testing on air cooling and then went to liquid nitrogen. But, so far the results are not satisfying for me. I need to spend more time on this platform to figure out how to work around its limitations. I will need to read up on The Stilt's findings, for instance. Pictures First results (cannot find the air results at the moment, will update later) Thanks to: As always, thanks …

  13. Hello everybody! I jumped on the Llano wagon as well and I'm quite surprised to say the least I'm currently testing an A6-3650 on a Gigabyte A75M-UD2H for a review. Everything's perfect, I've learned the system and its "tricky" spots, I've already hit 2500MHz RAM with air-cooled CPU/RAM and I was about to move to SingleStage testing @ -40*C. What's my problem? Using an 8800GT I can hit around 145MHz FSB on air-cooling, maybe a little bit more. Using the 6530D though (iGPU on A6-3650), the last stable FSB frequency is 120MHz FSB sharp, which means that GPU tops at 444MHz (stock) *+ 20% = 532MHz core clock. I've seen others on hwbot benching on air with > 140MHz FS…

  15. In early July, AMD released a new platform with FM1 pin grid array, which supports the CPU and adopts an updated APU technology. It has updated its own architecture and integrated a GPU with higher performance into the CPU. For users who support the reasonably-priced AMD, this is definitely another option with new specifications. In 2011, AMD plans to release a CPU with higher performance called the Bulldozer which is set to strengthen its medium and high-end product lines. The Llano APU platform has two kinds of chipsets, the A75 and A55. The newly released A55 has low configurations. In the past, the quad-core CPU only had two options, the A8-3850 and A6…

  16. Few months ago, AMD launched new product line called APU. It’s AMD dual core E-350 CPU which integrate GPU and the chipset is Hudson-M1 FCH. This combo main competitor is Intel Atom platform, and not popular in consumer market. E-350 CPU performance is similar to Atom, however, its GPU performance is much better than Atom which even better than AMD own IGP performance. It breaks the trend of IGP performance slow improvement. In the past, built-in graphic is integrating in Chipset. Since last year, Intel LGA 1155 platform integrated GPU into CPU. It makes Intel IGP performance catch up AMD platform. This is the first time Intel lead the IGP performance. AMD IGP i…

Interesting stuff comes along when updating the hwbot database. Mainboard manufacturers you figured to be long dead suddenly make a re-appearance. In this case, Soyo and Supox (used to be Epox): - Supox AA55MX-Q7 - Soyo SY-A75+节能版 - Supox AA75AX-Q7 Soyo's boards are with Chinese characters only, which makes it a bit difficult to add them to the database, though .
