HobieCat Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 That's an interesting way to get 10 cores. I'm just curious, why does cpu-z show it as two E5620's? Is it just messing up because of the weird cpu combo? Quote
dhenzjhen Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 looks awesome!! now I gotta run 16 cores x 3 total of 48 cores hehe!! Quote
Massman Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 This is so awesome, Steve! I like it as a member, I cry as a staff member ... Quote
SteveRo Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 ^^ could we get away with just one cpu category - something like maybe: sr-2 "Mutt" ?? :) Quote
Hondacity Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 you'll be fun to catch up to stevero awesome runs Quote
S_A_V Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Nice find Steve  I cry as a staff member ... No need to add some special CPU categories. Add one check in result submit code: if multi-socket board specified then show extra CPU fields (CPU2, CPU3, CPU4 - based on which board specified). Then result goes for best CPU category like when mixed VGA used (based on which CPU specified in CPU1 field). Quote
SteveRo Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 ^^ does the bot s/w know it's 10x cpu though? Quote
TaPaKaH Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 I'll laugh if the same is possible with 4+ socket server boards meaning you can have 7/9/11/13/14/15/17/18/etc cores for wprime Quote
SteveRo Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 ^^ yes but their won't be much incentive to make the runs if they are only worth 10 points each Quote
