February 1, 201015 yr CPU frequency matters a bit in GT1, but not at all in GT2/3. Â Actually, it's more PCI-e to CPU bandwidth that matters.
February 1, 201015 yr I gained more from increasing the FSB 5MHz than increasing the CPU frequency with 125MHz in GT1 using my Athlon XP .
