Posted June 20, 201212 yr So, let's talk about this kit of ram...Patriot Viper Xtreme Division 2 2133C11 8GB. They run at 2133 MHz 11-11-11-30 with 1,65V. The kit is composed by 2 modules 4GB each. Pretty sure they are Hynix. So let's remove the heatspreader to be sure ! What about overclocking ? Screen (1,65V) thightest timings 1600MHz @ 7-9-8-27 2T 1866MHz @ 8-10-9-27 2T 2133MHz @ 9-11-10-28 2T 103,2 BCLK to get 2200MHz 2201 @ 9-11-10-27 2T [/center] Mooooar volts... 1,725V and... 2202MHz 9-11-10-15 1T almost rock solid lol Read full review here: http://www.hwmaster.com/2012/06/18/recensione-patriot-viper-xtreme-divison-2-2133mhz-8gb/ Edited June 20, 201212 yr by bob80
June 20, 201212 yr LinX is not a good memory stability test, try HCI Memtest (multiple instances) or Prime 95 just curious - can your kit do spec? I mean - 2133. 11-11-11-30, 1.65V, rest auto, HCI Memtest stable I have a similar set here and it can't
June 20, 201212 yr Crew Use HCI Memtest as Sam proposed, it's a pure RAM test, quick detection if anything is unstable.
June 20, 201212 yr Author I have to run multiple instances ? EDIT: I'm running 4 instances 2133 9-11-10-27 @ 1,65V let's see Edited June 20, 201212 yr by bob80
June 20, 201212 yr Author I am stil running 5 instances of MemTest with at 2133 9-11-10-27 2T @ 1,65V... no errors.... I think they are stable. Isn't it ?
June 27, 201212 yr kk: Full Stability Test (Prime 95 and HCI Memtest) : To read mopre about the testing or/and the full review: Review: Patriot Viper Xtreme Division 2 2x4GB 2133 MHz CL11 Edited June 27, 201212 yr by Christian Ney
June 28, 201212 yr lol damn that is a lot of testing, nice job! So your full time job must be reviewing for OCAholic then, huh? Edited June 28, 201212 yr by Christian Ney
June 28, 201212 yr Author Chris your chart is very intresting Do you think this kit coul get 2666 with high timings and voltages, even not 100% stable ?
June 28, 201212 yr with 12-14-13-like timings it probably could, but I don't have a decent IMC to tell what's going on past 1250 Edited June 28, 201212 yr by TaPaKaH
