Farjam
it was a 5ghz 4c8t 1.385v?
Crew Leeghoofd Posted September 17, 2013 Crew Share Posted September 17, 2013 (edited) yep, boots at 1.385 into win7 4/8 and runs 1M, AIDA CPU Queen, PhotoworXX on air. Same CPU runs 4600 1.23Vcore AIDA stress test stable. Re-testing the other one tonite... wished it could do 6100 1 core and 5800 all cores, but nope... None optimised runs with the Corsair 2800C11 CFR kit... +1400 should be doable at them CPU speeds... Farjam
so voltage on air is not always an important sign , my 6280mhz 01 chip was 4c8t 1.385 only for xp... but not bad with ln2... and i had an 6200 chip for 3Ds and 6050 for 06 that could not boot even 4.8 below 1.4v on air. and some 5ghz 1.41v that can not pass 06 @ 5700
der8auer
I think you still need low voltage on air but it has to scale on cold and high voltage. My first 4670K did 1,15V 4500 MHz primestable which was a very good one. 6,3 GHz max valid and 6,1 for 32m. I had a 4770K which did 4500 MHz at 1,175 Volt which is just a little bit worse but it did not scale on cold at all. 5,9 GHz max on LN2... But the L313B996 ones which only did 4300 MHz at 1,275 V primestable were 5,5 to 5,6 max valid on LN2.
Crew Leeghoofd Posted September 17, 2013 Crew Share Posted September 17, 2013 Batch is L316B432 sr nr: 35310047A1952 This chip needs high uncore/NB, eg setting it at 50X would shutdown the setup at +5800Mhz, with 52X it was far more stable... looking for better
