That can't have been the most from your cpu for this?

might not have been, this was scatterbenching at its finest lol.

was more pushing the GPU.

 

ivy better suited to this since it hit 6ghz on dice, so will probably just re-do all the 3D on that platform instead.

this CPU not the best for 4c8t

In my experience, 4c8t isnt always fastest for am3, if you can hit higher freq with no ht, you might still get higher score.

nah this chip doesnt like 4cores period.

id say the 3rd or 4th core just doesnt clock like the first 2 can (6.4 max tested on those so far)

 

regardless i should hit higher on ivy, even with the IPC differences etc..

 

however, in setting it up for some runs today;

turns out my trusty UD3H has crapped out sometime between the XTU comp testing (low clock, water..) and now. its only been put in storage in the meantime.

maybe it got crushed or something - though physically it looks fine, pins all good etc..

 

meh, it was average at best anyway. guess ill start looking for a cheap asrock z77 OCF, always wanted to try one
