Nice Willem. Doing great lately!

Hey there,
I'm looking for a stable X79 board, which seems to be kind of a thing actually.
The current board I have doesn't even always boot or forgets it's settings in the BIOS.
Basically I'm looking for any proper X79 board( Asus seems to have the least problems) for about 175 included shipping.
As long as the board works and is stable, I'm interested. Preferably not with insulation material on it
Few suggestions:
Asus R4 E/B
Asus X79 WS
Asus Sabertooth X79

Nice score mate!

Nice Willempie.

I've tried W10 and W7. Something is off...

Thanks! I was also missing a lot of efficiency in other 3dmarks. ~15k physics missing in vantage... Tried several windows, but I think it might actually be the mobo.

Yup. The 5960X is still a beast, but seeing all the scores with a 6950X just makes you think the scores are kinda bad even though they are still impressive.
Didn't expect Firestrike Ultra to be cpu bound though, because apperently, physics does count for a good amount.

Thanks, appreciate it Too bad I'm short on cpu power with these monsters.

Nice score. Weird cooling solution you got there you crazy Belgian

Just xmp actually. Might be the board or the modules.

I found the beta Precision tool kinda lacking in term of user friendlyness, so I didn't touch the voltage slider, since it didn't clearly inform what you were actually setting. Max powerlimit and temp(temp priority) seemed to be enough to get to 2.1GHz tho.

Was watching LTT's livestream the other day and they mentioned something about having to pay to unlock 3-way SLI?
So far the highest scores on the ORB:
- 19298 Fire Strike http://www.3dmark.com/fs/8538247
- 10190 Fire Strike Extreme http://www.3dmark.com/fs/8548347
- 5674 Fire Strike Ultra http://www.3dmark.com/fs/8549378
No idea where the "serious" overclocking results are though. Maybe there is an NDA on those as well?
Nothing serious here aswell, but still, seems in line with our results.

Hey,
I'm currently working on a script in Powershell to automatically check some system specs and confirm if they are correct or not. Some of the interns here are having difficulties with this, so I thought, why not help them by doing the check via script.
One thing I haven't found a solution to, is getting the correct CPU speed.
WMI and DMIdecode didn't give me the right speed. DMIdecode worked a little better though.
When overclocked, it always shows the wrong value.
Since I'm not very deep into scripting or building programs, I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on how to read out the correct speed via a script. I guess it has to be via something that reads out from the BIOS, and maybe a calculation from MP and bClk.
Thanks in advance,
Joost/Rsnubje

Hi,
If possible, please also add options for 5x, 6x, 7x gpu, as it is now possible to use for GPUPI.
-
Think this should be moved now to 8x gpu.
-
Seeing this makes me have less problems with delidding a retail cpu. At least, if I can find a matching glue to put back on.

I just replaced all the caps. It's working fine now and with all 16 lanes
Thanks Coolice!!

Nice Mad points!
-
Yep, all the way to the right. All the others are caps.
