What about zen 3 threadripper for the superpi stage?

Any word on ddr5 igp dropping to 3 scores and banning mobile? I know at least one team that plans to put the bench on a flash drive and bench on best buy display pcs cause zen3+ laptops are so op they don't need to be Oc'd to demolish Alder lake desktop. I'd prefer if we didn't have any stages that weren't about overclocking. Be a good idea to ban threadripper for the amd superpi 32m stage so we don't give an advantage to people who can afford chagal but that's a less big deal. Also I think you mentioned in a comment in this thread that the intent for pyprime ddr5 was that they would need to be different core counts but don't see it on rules page yet.

Can we drop ddr5 igp down to 3 scores and ban mobile? Cause it's just gonna be xe graphics 96eu shit otherwise. With 3 scores it becomes HD 770, 730, 710. So optimal chips become 12900k, 12400, g7400 instead of hunting locked laptops down

I can run 1-4 on my 2011-1 box lol, although I don't have the ddr4 mem cards so small disadvantage for v3 and v4 cbips

Then why not do 16 way 3dm01 score. You gotta at a minimum be able to enable it and show enabled in gpuz. As for the sli mode I mainly know about it because that's what superposition defaults and you have to manually force a real sli mode to get scaling

Anyways I second the opinion that we shouldn't pull pts, if we pulled every bench that took some tweaks to os and drivers to get a decent score we'd have almost nothing left. Asking to pull 01 globals is like asking to pull 32m globals imho

Here's what I have to say about sli for this bench. For better or worse you can run single card without disabling sli, try different sli modes. As far as I know this is within the rules and let's you have your cake and eat it too. What the difference between this and disabling sli? Not for me to say

I know a lot is on the plate with Intel comps rn, but can we shoot for dates of Aug 1 through Sept 30? It doesn't matter for event planning for me but might be a good idea to set a start date well ahead of time so you don't have to rush create it like 2 weeks before it starts

Yeah Imho maybe do 1, 2, 3, 4 categories then a section of misc that can have stages like max freq 1, 2, 3, 4

So I've noticed that with previous comps where there was a planning thread Alby often basically uses all the ideas in thread and still has to make some up. So I decided to sit down with several other benchers and try to come up with as big a list of ideas as possible. C4E and c4f are fairly interchangeable for me, both can get good effi with right bios

Maybe on that session, not actually sure it was this cpu. Both my 570s validate the same. This 32m was c4f, I go through boards slightly slower than paste. Socket is wore out on this one, too much pressure and it drops a socket. So need to stock up on crosshairs again
