  1. If you look on the page I linked, catzilla 720p gives no hwpoints but still gives global points.

Not sure how else to explain it, the benchmark page clearly shows which benchmarks award which type of points.

I think he's just whining because he wants to whine. At the start of rev 7 I dropped down to like 150 in apprentice league from around 50 in rev 6 after everything was said and done, and now I'm in 25th place. So I think the new rev lends itself to picking up score very quickly if you are of very low rank. On rev 6 once you got top 50 there was a lot more cases of having to do well in reeeally competitive benches to inch up a few places. Now I've literally gained more than 100 places just on intel igpu. It's popular, but not popular enough that I can't easily bruteforce most scores with good mem, high gpu clock, and poor efficiency. If people want to get some ez pts for $15 then come and take mine in hd graphics (sandy bridge), literally my 1st chip rode me to victory. Made me regrest buying 8 to bin :Dhttp://hwbot.org/hardware/videocard/hd_graphics_sandy_bridge/

  2. NOT funny at all.

    1) Gigabyte Aorus X399 Gaming 7 with Threadripper 1950X at 4.1ghz and 64gb of ram.

Working 18 hours daily as a dedicated heavy load workstation, with 8 SSD's and 2 x Titan XP. No issue.

    2) Gigabyte Aorus Z370 Gaming 7. Everyday PC. Loaded with tons of goodies. Almost 20 hours daily. NO ISSUE.

    3) Gigabyte Z270 SOC - limited edition. Benched more than 100 times under cold. Looks and is as new.

    4) Gigabyte X99 Champion. Sold, but was rock solid for more than 2 years.

Maybe it is the user to blame and not the products ?

Or maybe you are working / supporting another manufacturer ?

This thread was/is for an issue with AI suite.

How come you explode with flames on Gigabyte ???

I can feel his plight. I did not have a good time on the z270 soc or on the x370 k7 when I used them for gigabyte comps. I see good results with them and iirc they have mem magic that no other vendor has. My 790x ud4p is a great board, but it seems that as of late I've had the worst luck with their newer boards out right trolling me and not being good. So perhaps they have quality control issues? Also their bios is awful, all options are spread out as far as possible, but I could overlook that if my boards didn't outright troll me. My soc for example clocks 4 ranks better than 2 ranks on my 7700k for no reason and is also unable to do 2t due to some things that giga messed up. I could go on an on about how the gigabyte comps have been the worst possible pr for me possible as they've made me hate their boards, but I see no need.

  3. MM writes like me ... it's in sarcasm mode. ;) Just the post on page 1 is his real concern. The benchmarks on certain gpu's make 0 points now.

The Rev7 algorithm has adjusted points drastically.

Well all the changes are supposedly based on what we all asked for. So you only have your fellow benchers to blame that a bench that bases res on desktop res had it's pts pulled. For catzilla I don't know the reason, but perhaps people are tired of making ram drives because a "3d" bench adds load time to the score?

  4. ^ If the points were pulled for the reason that I think.....

Lets make it even in the 3D world :) NO card below DX11 allowed. That should eliminate some old benchmarks that are still around. It should also free up a-lot of disk space taken up by OLD\JUNK hardware.

All you have to do is look to the RIGHT on the HOME PAGE. WARP9-SYSTEMS is not in FIRST PLACE because they are benching the latest and greatest gear. I hope you know the rest....

I don't know why you're so salty. If the pts are so "ez" to get then there is no reason you can't go get them. They're on cheap hw. So if you aren't able to go get them then perhaps you need to get better at OC? You can push the crap outta anything, case in point my recent work on intel igpus. Too many lame OCs there, so I've been working to get rid of their pts :)

  5. XTU only works from sandy bridge and later officially - so you are not going to get scores at S.775

Do you know how this works? I haven't seen xtu run on any other westmere chips but there's quite a few scores on this cpu. https://hwbot.org/benchmark/xtu/rankings?hardwareTypeId=processor_2150&cores=2#start=0#interval=20

edit: nvm, just noticed that they're all i3 3310m that somehow were allowed to be subbed as 330m. Could one of the mods maybe fix?

  6. When looking-up the hardware DB for a XX GPU or XX CPU, there is no information displayed.

When posting scores for 3D Mark Ice Storm, Ice Storm Extreme, Catzilla 576p, and 720p, the result is 0.0. This is even if you placed 1st with your hardware.

I've noticed with the hw db sometimes it shows up at the bottom of the page not the right, probably due to resolution. So try scrolling down. For the pts for those benchmarks. They literally have had pts pulled from them. Go to the benchmarks page on hwbot and you'll see.

  7. How about missing points for Hardware????

Case in point - Radeon HD 6870 a 1st place score in Ice Storm, Ice Storm EX, Catzilla 576p, or Catzilla 720p = 0 points

Also the Hardware DB is broken. Can not look-up XX Hardware.

    Thank You

All of the benches you just mentioned aren't worth pts. You can check which ones are worth pts by looking at the benchmarks tab on hwbot.

  8. How can one prove you did the benchmark in February or before? Something has to be there, otherwise resubmit galore inbound... One thing we learned is that OCers are loophole finding wizards. We have seen too much fiddling with screenshots over the years. It is all those nifty things which have happened in the past that we became so over regulated... I guess that should be the fairness you refer too. Fairness towards the hobby, yep a hobby and your fellow OCers. The crimes of the past are the reason of the state we are at now... If only people just pressed "start benchmark" after clocking up cpu, mem and gpu...

This is my final post to explain the reason of the score removal in this competition, no further debating

    Amen!

  9. That's the current change log for GPUPI 3.1.1:

    • [*]Supports Xeon Phi accelerator cards

Will be interesting to see the results of this one, I've always been interested in xeon phi as kind of this wacky thing from intel, as a sort of solution without a problem. The newest one was the only one that I could find a real use for, and that's only because it finally has "real" cpu cores so would work good for a vm server or something.

  10. Lol, people complaining about having subs removed for no background. True they failed to communicate it going into the 1st weekend of the comp, but I have to ask who subs a score weekend 1 that they don't feel they could do better next session? The big scores drop last week of comp almost always. I know there are some exceptions like when OCN destroyed the ddr2 record early in team cup last year, but those are exceptions not a rule. I know I have no issue having my 2600k subs taken down, I was already benching the 2600k for hd 3000 and figured I'd bench the relevant benches while I was at it. Tbh I was planning on rebenching anyways as that 2600k doesn't go above 5.35 ghz (or I don't know how to oc sandy, very likely) and I found a deal so I have 4 2600ks on the way. Plus 32m in win 7? xD I can drop 30s off that score without improving my oc at all. So I think being forced to rebench gives us all an excuse to get bigger scores before the comp is over. One thing I wonder about that I may've missed, so is sandy-e allowed for div 7? Or was that a mistake? Cause I don't feel like getting destroyed by "lame" 3930k oc when I push my 2600k.
