  1. Memory will be the least of your problems. Unless your card is modded to the gills you won't reach the clocks of the top spot regardless of how cold you get it.
  2. Sounds like someone is holding one in the bag lol....Just a hint at what would be possible if I didnt have to open Afterburner. (gpu on water)
  3. Yes, it seems the memory is the largest sticking point for me as well.
  4. Re-ran the bench using Afterburner only and got a proper sceen this time. You will not see much more out of these cards using Afterburner only to clock with. It does not play well when you try to introduce other overclocking methods and have Afterburner running at the same time.
  5. This should clear up any doubts... http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1060204_rickss69_gpu_z_gpu_frequency_geforce_gtx_460_256bit_1002_mhz?new=true Evidently not...Afterburner has to be the flakiest utility I have ever seen. Even at default settings the core clock changes to 405 five seconds into the run of Kombustor. No matter the voltage, DX version or temperature...every time.
  6. Artifacted - Yes it was...we are pushing these things to the limit. It did however finish the benchmark. As for the validity, someone else will have to make that call. One thing for certain is it didnt artifact because it was running in 2D lol. I did finally discover what it was that made the earlier submissions show a whacked core clock in Kombustor...as soon as I opened Afterburner is when the clocks would skew. Edit: Added another photo so maybe it can be better read.
  7. This one was blocked and the other allowed...you tell me why. (Notice the gpu-z validation) http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1057111_rickss69_gpu_z_gpu_frequency_geforce_gtx_460_256bit_1006_mhz
  8. This picture you posted in my submission of a supposed "bugged" run is nothing like mine. If you take the time to look closer you will see no temp graph at he bottom of Kombustor screen and also no gpu information running in the top right of the screen as it does normally. My submission on the other hand has all this info showing...it is just reporting different values than gpu-z tab. http://i54.tinypic.com/mm4o7s.jpg
  9. This has already been discussed in another thread and Massman is aware. No one needs to be posting "fake" or other terms constantly in another's submission. If you disagree with something simply hit the report button instead of trashing a submission. Btw, there is no other submission like mine out there...all is in plain view and I challenge you to emulate it. That particular submission will be updated soon, but not because of any goading on your part... http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1056800_rickss69_gpu_z_gpu_frequency_geforce_gtx_460_256bit_995_mhz http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1055405_rasmus66_gpu_z_gpu_frequency_geforce_gtx_460_192bit_980_mhz
  10. I submit something be done about constant trolling and derogatory remarks made in comment sections by member "Alshva" of L4N OC Team. http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1056800_rickss69_gpu_z_gpu_frequency_geforce_gtx_460_256bit_995_mhz http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1055405_rasmus66_gpu_z_gpu_frequency_geforce_gtx_460_192bit_980_mhz
  11. ron - I have tried numerous drivers and even another OS to no avail...there is just something present here that doesnt agree with Afterburner. If I can figure out how to flash the bios on this card maybe I will be able to do something with it. Thanks for the reply. Btw, the most common error I get when trying to install Afterburner is "missing or corrupted files D3DCompiler_42.dll. Something to do with DirectX from what I gather. It isnt that the card is not running the frequencies stated in gpu-z, but rather the older versions of Afterburner are not allowing Kombustor to see/record it properly I believe. What a pita...
  12. Fine - Do not reply...just keep putting my other run back up with the exact same errors you faulted in my latest submissions. That makes great sense Mass.
  13. I may be cutting my own throat, but I made this Vantage run yesterday using the exact same overclocking method... http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1056684_rickss69_3dmark_vantage___performance_geforce_gtx_460_256bit_20430_marks Is this not valid as well? Without Afterburner working as it should I do not know what else I can do with this card.
  14. And exactly how does one change that? I have made it clear that I am not using Afterburner to clock with. Currently I have version 1.6 installed because version 2.00 will not install at all for me. If you can point to where these changes can be made I will gladly try it. Otherwise, I submit you are seeing those numbers because Afterburner is not being used to overclock this card. If you say that Afterburner is the only utility to be used in this contest then I guess I am done. Also you did not address the other two submissions where that portion of the screen is hidden? I suspect had I had mine covered as well we would not be having this discussion.
