Thank you Ananerbe. "Zambezi is not 'Vision' bro. ;)" That was also what I thought until I looked at this same place. Since I was working at that computer why not give it a try? Good to hear from you Mr. Scott. -
Thank you!

The AMD stage has appeared still closed for me every time I checked but I see that many results are posted already. Please, is it open or not?

MSI MOA Americas 2012 on HWBOT - Sharing related posts
egm_xt replied to El Gappo's topic in Crime room
Rbuass: Just like you I am just trying to say that similar settings cannot prove anything and watching your work for a long time and from all you have achieved and the care you have always shown to comply with the rules I believe your word should be taken as the truth and unless other proofs (that I do not believe can be produced because as you say it is not true) this thing left behind or at least no more doubts should be raised based only on the same reason (similar settings that can be explained by sharing KNOWLEDGE). I am sorry that all this has happened and hope that truth prevails. -
MSI MOA Americas 2012 on HWBOT - Sharing related posts
egm_xt replied to El Gappo's topic in Crime room
Looking at the results it seems clear to me that pretty much everything can be explained by the 2 last posts from Rbuass specially the quote "I never shared nothing, only knowledge." (excuse me but just to be on the safe side I will say: the double negative is how we always say in portuguese "I shared nothing" or "I never shared anything"). With the extra explanation about the 2 Lightning videocards being bought together (actually 3 of them), and the fact that an MSI motherboard needs to be used it looks like there is no basis for concluding that there was hardware or results sharing. Of course sharing or copying settings (and I believe this is allowed ) would be probably the real explanation. The only thing that it really seemed odd to me at first was the date 01/01/2005 in both results, but if this is the default date the motherboard comes and it was not updated (I do not know what happen but it is probably the best bet) or less probably, some form of bios setting files copying that went on, then it is totaly explained. So if all the "evidence" is that shown in the little table just posted comparing the settings I would say it is a pretty week one and is certaily no basis to keep raising more doubts (like suggesting that it could be the same motherboard which can be inferred from the statement "changing bios is a 30s procedure"). All this surely is evidence of knowledge sharing but not of anything else. To quote what others have said in a slightly different context "this really does not look good" (these kind of doubts being raised after the post of a member stating very clearly that it did not happen) PS: I am sure that there are some other tools available to the moderators that can help to clear the situation. I do not think it is fair to keep raising doubts and putting pressure in this situation without further proof from now on. -

I do not know if this idea already appeared but another way to reduce sandbagging would be to award points to the team that stays for more days in the lead (say 5 points for example, to be consistent with the 15 points for 4th place). I do not know how complicated this is for the programming of the competition engine but I believe it could help. Some car races used to award points for the car that lead most laps. I have been too busy to be in the competitions but hope some time next year to be able to participate again of some. Anyway I keep following them. They are really great! -
How can we access the hardware results for each processor or videocard. And the compare feature? Sorry I just can figure this out.

egm_xt replied to Mr.Scott's topic in Result Discussions
Thanks slngsht. Looks like the 3850 is best agp for all other benchmarks. For 01 the 7800/7900 agp are a little better. Valeu NoM$, I can only get about 215 of this board/memory combination so best result so far was this. Anyway I am done with this socket. -

I have been looking at the 462 best scores and the 1st one, I believe is for an Athlon 64 3200+ not a 462 socket. In the description there is a mention to Athlon 64. Also the result might seem a little too high for a 462/ATI9800 combination. Actually correcting the processor will not change any points, it is just to be sure what is the current 462 record for 3d01. -

One idea for a challenge would be that since socket 754 (and 478/479) are from the time there was the change from AGP to PCI-e and you can find boards for both types, why not do a couple of 3D benchmarks allowing 754 (and/or 478/479) with video cards up to the point you can find both AGP and PCI-e (nvidea up to geforce 7 series and ati up to series HD3000 or HD4000, I believe). There are socket 775, 939 and even AM2 and may be others with AGP and PCI-e boards also but that might miss the point. It may be too complicated but well it is an idea... -

OK. Thank you Massman. My NF4-X will have to wait. It would be my best chance but lets try the other sockets. -

This was a great challenge. We would have a better chance if socket 7 was included. I have just got a "brand new" GA-5AX and a k6-2+/550 -
