Thanks so much Linuxfan and Olesius! I did the cbb hard mod combined with the software bios mod.. cold slow bug + ovp + ocp The card can go higher as long as I stay below 1.24v for some reason it seems these cards dont like alot of voltage.Only one out of 7 cards will do 1300 though..

Thanks Steponz! Great job in the competition man! I gave up on that one after Andres scores.. That pi score was pretty sick.. I made it through Pi fast at around 6500+ mhz but could not save my score for some reason.. I'll probably redo this sometime soon! cheers man!! : )

All you gotta do is win and be the best.. That's it.. It's easy Andre is crazy awesome! No chance for me to win that comp.. submitted for stage 2 only.. Not enough time with the board and tons of bios issues.. Updated the bios and it did'nt update.. Tried new ram, nope.. Just was'nt working for me.. UD9 / SR-2 / and R3E all work great though.. I'll put up my good scores using those boards. Maybe next time

Thanks Massman, Just confirmed.. Same problem.. Cpu will run pi at around 6200mhz give or take but when I raise the memory beyond 850mhz it just locks up right away.. I guess I'm going to try that bios. thanks for posting!! I'm using the dominator gt 2000mhz memory by corsair. Timings are 8-8-8-24 88

Thanks so much for the reply! Yeah, it's really weird.. Noticed it when I first installed windows.. froze up at 4ghz lol.. As long as I keep my memory below 850mhz I'm good.. I looked for a bios update on their website but nothing.. Apparently I have the latest one unless the one you posted here is newer.. Maybe I'll just re flash or something.. cheers man and thanks!

Nice! How do you guys get the mem speed up so high.. My dominator gt is crap.. : ) The only motherboard it wont overclock on is the big bang x-power..

Hey Massman.. For some reason my corsair dominator gt memory wont run past 850mhz.. No matter how low or high I set the multiplier.. It shows up as 1066 by default but the other boards rampage lll / ud9 read as 1333mhz and I can go higher.. Whats the deal you think.. vtt does'nt matter.. 1.55v dram voltage doesnt do anything 1.80v and even the vcore up to 1.9v. Memory just wont run past 850mhz.. weird.. Pcie frequency 110 I wonder whats going on? bios?

I hate when I run out of LN2.. Man what a great run!! : ) Did you pump alot of voltage in that.. I get restarts around 1.92v with the vtt at 1.55v and the dram at 1.85v but if I lower the vcore to 1.86v and keep everything the same it works. That was at 6100mhz.. The same as my super pi 1m run I just posted

The gpu memory is set at 1100 in the screenshot. Did you mean 1200? : ) I think it can do that as well. I was trying for a higher gpu score but my os got corrupted so bummer.. I did'nt realize this gpu had no cold bug at around -110c Did'nt even test to see when the cold bug hit.. I ran that at -60c using ln2.. Kinda crappy really. Thanks! I do dig the cpu though!

Massman.. Where are the switches.. I have the same problem.. 1.69v max sucks theres nothing on the bottom but the blue switches..

I've had so many ES chips! I think they are crap actually.. New / used does'nt matter.. There has to be a good one out there somewhere.. You just have to buy lots and lots til you find one.. or get lots for free.. Whatever the deal is. This is awesome!

I dont think it's the soc.. It's not retail yet. It's just a regular gigabyte 5870 I think..

I'm just going to do another run.. I can go higher I think on the gpu.. Plus somehow I revived the card. Is it ok if I post a new one this weekend.. You can take this one off even though its a good gpu score..
